【其实是我自己很多听不懂 但被强力推荐下又舍不得放弃
刚好瞄到Kitt66用较短篇的方式介绍此访谈
便转录过来给打算观赏的吧友一看 权当预习吧XDDDD
篇幅较短 我会做简要翻译 有误请指正

《A Mighty Big If - quick comments》
I’m going to try and write something up about this but that isn’t going to happen tonight and I wanted to let people know a little at least about the evening. First off at the start they said the interview would last ~45 minutes but by the end it ran over 90 minutes. It was all filmed and will eventually make it online though I’ve no idea when or whether they’ll post the whole thing or an edited version. Needless to say Peter was wonderfulwhen detailing both well known anecdotes and less familiar stories.

A few things that stood out for me:
Peter giving a very funny retelling of his audition with Armando for Malcolm.
A long discussion about the Dreamboys and how Craig Ferguson came to be in the band.
That he remembers very little about shooting The Hour as he was so tired throughout because of also doing the Ladykillers but he did say he didn’t know anything about Randall’s motives when he shot the first episodes as they were writing them as they went along so they didn’t get much information in advance. He just concentrated on playing the now of the character.
They finished with a song! Richard Strange, the host of the event, Peter and a singer called Sarah-Jane Morris did a version of Lou Reed’s Pale Blue Eyes. Sadly Peter’s microphone kept feeding back but other than that it was lovely.

3.拍摄电视剧The Hour的时期 因为与舞台剧LadyKillers档期交叠 片场记忆实在有些模糊 初次上场饰演Randall Brown时 剧本更因为边演边写 所以没有太多细节提前透露 能让皮卡叔揣摩角色 当时他只想一件事 就是全力以赴把Randall Brown演好就对了【脑中瞬间浮现TBBT中Sheldon大喊 That's the Spirit!!! XDDD】
4.最后皮卡与主持人Richard Strange 歌手Sarah-Jane Morris以合唱Lou Reed版本的Pale Blue Eyes收尾唷 ≥ε ≤ 虽然皮卡叔的麦克风有回音干扰 但完全不能掩盖这欢脱可爱 粉红小花开满满 让人无比沉醉迷恋......(以下省略千言万语XDDD【粉丝整个心情澎湃

本来想今天一次翻完的 结果边翻边聊天就累了XDDDD 改日再续

They spent a while talking about a production of an Agatha Christie play they did with Peter in the lead and Richard as a gay art dealer. Peter recalled that he only had one scene with Richard but every night Richard would come up with some new way to make him laugh which was a good thing as in general this was not a great time in his career and he was quite depressed. Richard then told an anecdote about John Major, the then Prime Minister, visiting the play and meeting them all which Peter had no memory of at all.

当时并不是事事尽如人意 走在演员路上的皮卡叔对於未来是踌躇旁徨的 但不知是有意还是无心 尽管两人只有一幕共同演出 Richard每晚都会换新戏法逗他开心 对於失意颓丧的心彷佛挥洒下满天的阳光与希望 纵使流光飞逝 这段记忆始终暖心如斯 【呜呜呜....好感动 ≥ε ≤ 今天刚好瞄到一句话 得意的时候 你找到朋友 失意的时候 朋友找到了你 .....【我要为所有关爱我的人送上感谢】
话题一转 Richard突然提到当任大臣John Major曾莅临观赏此剧并接见剧团所有人 但皮卡叔却毫无印象 【大概是大臣的谈话无法逗皮卡叔欢心吧XDDDD

Talking about the Oscar win Peter kept going back to how unprepared and unworldly he’d been as he got lots of calls before the awards inviting him to some of the big post awards parties and he turned them all down.
He was very interesting when asked about his screenwriting as he was keen to downplay his writing talent which he seems to think is minimal. Sadly no one followed up on this as to how come he’s about to make yet another film he’s written if he’s such a bad writer but he was quite insistent he isn’t talented at writing.
但或许是上天眷顾 1995年也不是这麼晦暗无光 得知获得奥斯卡殊荣时 皮卡叔毫无预感 随之涌来锦上添花的餐会邀请也是可想而知 但基於本身低调作风 还是全数婉拒了
采访中 尽管他强调自己编剧才能低落 一再轻描淡写带过 但Richard提及时 可感受到 皮卡叔整个人还是隐隐散发著 伯乐终现身的雀跃感 【怎麼突然光芒万丈亮起来了XDDDD】 可惜这话题很快被更替了 要不然Kitt66【与众多粉丝们】还真想知道 嘴上挂著才华不佳的谦词 又是甚麼信念支持著皮卡叔 始终乐此不疲地坚持不懈地写著一部又一部的剧本

Sadly by the time they got to talking about The Thick of It they were pretty much out of time so we got no discussion about Malcolm beyond how the part has made him famous. He talked about how he is stopped in the street pretty much every day but that he doesn’t mind because it’s wonderful to have such a positive response from people to a role.
热烈讨论的局面不得不被时间圈限著 最终话题讨论到TTOI中Malcolm一角 如何将皮卡叔推象事业的另一高峰 皮卡叔自己笑著说 拨出后只要走上街头 几乎每天都会被人认出来 但他更讶异的是 这角色所带来的正面能量与反馈【咦......XDDDD 【好想知道回应是甚麼唷!!!!

I was daring enough to ask one of the audience questions and went for a question about The Hour (though now am kicking myself that I didn’t ask about the film he’s about to do but such is life). He said that because of The Thick of It he’s learned that how something is filmed or set up shouldn’t affect him and his job is just to deliver the performance regardless. He also doesn’t agree with actors who think they have to know everything about a character to be able to play them – its far more important to be present in the moment than to know how your character got there.
As I said before they ended with a version of ‘Pale Blue Eyes’ and then Peter departed while we got a couple more songs from the other guest Sarah-Jane Morris. Then it was out into the night – a chat with the other fan I’d sat with at the event and then floated back to my hotel to contemplate how lucky I was to get to see this event.

皮卡叔回应说 从TTOI演出后 他发现自己并不会被Malcolm这角色局限或影响到自身人格及日常生活 就只是单纯地 尽心且沉醉於演出即可 所以相较於精心揣摩演出角色或深究角色如何塑成 他自己倾向 宁可不要过於刻意【或矫情XDDD】把演出当作一种享受也是一种奉献 融入当下氛围 就算即兴发挥 也要带给观众源自内心最原始的触动 【这是多少经验的沉淀蜕变才能归纳出来的 为了生活为了自己所爱 每个人都不容易啊
结尾时 来宾Sarah-Jane Morris加入与两人合唱了Pale Blue Eyes 难得还有机会可以多唱几首时 皮卡叔看似有安排先行离开了 【好可惜好可惜】 走出教堂时已然夜幕低垂了 想到自己能参与整场采访 还与其它粉丝谈论所爱 如此场景萦绕脑中 至今心神荡漾不能自己 怎麼回到旅馆都忘了【我也心神荡漾到不知道在翻甚麼了 XDDDDD 【....为什麼不是我 【....反正...大概就是这个意思啦~~~
