I've been getting a lot of messages on various social media all asking the same thing: "Amy has been gone for a while now, is she ok?"
In short:
YES. PLEASE DONT WORRY, FRIEND.
In long: She is busy with her second year of college, as I am and many of us in our social group are. This can really sap your motivation for other activities, so I don't blame her for taking a break! Amy also took Summer classes and holds a job all the while, so she gets about 1 day a week off, which is probably spent on personal things and/or homework. Again, not much time for arts. Also, if you're still worried for her mother's health, be calm my friend. Her breast cancer was diagnosed very early and she has since recovered nicely. I am not in direct contact with Amy on a day-to-day basis anymore (separate universities and all that) so I can't say much else!
If you're wondering about the fate of Star Days, I was told by Amy last time I saw her that she has not been working on it. This may have changed, and this also does not mean it will never be done. Just don't expect that if/when Amy comes back from hiatus that it will be done then, if at all. People are getting quite impatient with waiting for it, but remember that Pacthesis is a one person operation and it will stay that way. The fact that sometimes games were put up multiple times a year in the past with other art submitted in between is no short of incredible. Like I said above though, due to less time and multiple life changes, that kind of output is just not possible anymore.
Just think of it all like this: ever since Amy started posting things on dA, she never really stopped or took a break ...until now, of course. So really, this hiatus is made up of all the time she never got to take off. That's how I see it, anyway.
I don't know what Amy is planning for the future, but this is just a message for all the people who have been asking. This is what I know. If you see someone asking about whats happening with Pacthesis or Star Days, feel free to link them here. I hope you all understand.
