B: Well, I love all kinds of music. I love singing everything, but I think country is where I’m most meant to be. I’ve listened to country all my life and I think that’s where my heart settles, for now.
WO: Your first album is scheduled for fall and you just released “The Heart of Dixie” as your first single. I know you recorded a couple songs, so how did “Dixie” win out?
B: The first time I heard “The Heart of Dixie,” it was a really catchy tune. It wasn’t something I could really relate to and a lot of people were asking me [about] that, but the good thing about country music is it’s all about storytelling and I’m happy to be the narrator of the song. I just try to put myself in other people’s shoes and feel how it would be to have a dead end job… and just what my song says. I love the song and it’s so catchy.
WO: Can you tell us a little bit about the feel of the album?
B: I honestly can say it’s a mixture of everything. There’s some softer, chill songs and some really powerful ones, like I like [laughs]. There’s a lot of interesting music on this album. It’s definitely something I would listen to everyday. I just made sure that people my age would want to click on the radio or put it on their phone and just have it on repeat.
WO: What’s been your most memorable performance, so far?
B: Well, last weekend I went with Blake and surprised his crowd to sing “Heart of Dixie” and there were around 20,000 people there. I think that’s been the most memorable, so far. He introduced me on stage and I sang my song and the crowd was really loud and I felt the energy, so that was really fun.
WO: You’re on your way to selling out stadiums like Blake Shelton does, but coming from the place you were before you went on “The Voice” and lacking confidence going into performing on the stage; what advice would you give people your age who might also be struggling with confidence issues?
B: I would tell them that, if you really love something, don’t be afraid to keep moving forward with it. If they were shy like me—I mean I never wanted to sing in front of anybody, I tried my best to keep from singing in front of crowds and even my family because I was so shy—just make yourself do it. Just pushing myself really broke through that shell and being up there in front of people really helped because I found my comfort zone on stage. I mean, I tell people my story and kind of just say, don’t be afraid of anything.I

主持人：从你第一次盲选通过，到最终赢得比赛，有什么经历是让你特别印象深刻的吗？
蛋妞：我不仅能和Blake一起排练，我还会时不时和Usher，Adam以及Shakira闲聊呢。大家都对我非常友好。不过我觉得最最棒的回忆是和Blake一起排练，因为我是他的超级粉丝。
主持人：现在你已经和Big Machine Records签了约，也发行了首单，你现在真是风靡全国。所以在由普通人转为艺人的过渡时期你有收到过什么好建议吗？
蛋妞：我才17岁，可我却要接受这些从来没做过的事，我身边的人总是会对我说，“千万利欲熏心”，“保持镇静，做你自己就可以了。”无论是我家人朋友，还是Blake和Miranda，他们都给了我最大的鼓励。我身边的人唱唱叫我在舞台上尽兴就可以了，做我自己就已足够。

蛋妞：我其实什么类型的歌都喜欢唱。但我觉得乡村音乐是我最最应该坚持的东西。我从小就接触乡村音乐了，目前它就是我的心之所向。主持人：预计秋天你的专辑就可以发行了，你也刚刚发行了首单“The Heart of Dixie” ，那么在选歌的时候你是怎么会选这首歌做首单的呢？
蛋妞：我第一次听“The Heart of Dixie”的时候就被吸引住了。虽然很多人质疑我的年龄不适合唱这首歌，可是我觉得乡村音乐本来就是向人们诉说故事的，我很想要做一个故事的叙述者。我做的就是感同身受，想象自己有一份没有出路的工作。。。这首歌真的很不错。
主持人：你能透露下你对自己的专辑的看法吗？
蛋妞：我必须说那将是一张混合多种风格的专辑。不仅有快歌，抒情歌，还有一些能让人激情澎湃的歌曲。我已经迫不及待想让大家听到了。我确定专辑发行之后，肯定会有很多跟我同龄的人会将它下载到手机里并且一直不停地循环播放。
主持人：到现在为止，你最美好的回忆是？
蛋妞：上周我突然在Blake的演唱会现身，那里有20,000的观众。他先是自己唱我的歌，然后再把我请上舞台。底下的观众都激动万分，这段回忆必将是终身难忘的。
主持人：你现在和Blake一样在做很多现场表演，那么对于那些和你同龄的，也想参加美国之声比赛的，却缺乏自信的少男少女们，你有什么好建议？
蛋妞：我想我会跟他们说，如果你真的喜欢某件事，你就要勇敢地去为之付出努力。如果他们也像我以前一样害羞——我以前也是根本不敢在别人面前唱歌，甚至对家人我也是如此，因为我以前真的非常容易害羞——那么你就要逼着自己克服恐惧。我之所以能克服胆怯，在众人面前高歌，是因为我发现自己在台上唱歌时总能觉得很有安全感。I
