Danielle Bradbery to Sing Anthem at Geico 400
by Shannon Antinori for Plainfield PatchDanielle Bradbery, winner of Season 4 of “The Voice” this year, will sing the National Anthem prior to the Geico 400 race Sept. 15 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet.Bradbery, a 17-year-old Texas native, was coached on “The Voice” by country star Blake Shelton, who described her as “the most important artist to ever walk across ‘The Voice’ stage.”
Bradbery’s first single, “The Heart of Dixie,” debuted at no.1 on the iTunes country chart and no. 16 on Billboard’s Hot Country Charts. Performing in the pre-race concert will be country singer Brantley Gilbert, known for his no. 1 hits “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do.”
Season ticket holders receive complimentary Pit and Infield Fan Zone Experience passes, giving them the best access to the concert stage. Non-season ticket holders can purchase a pass to the infield for the concert for $50.
The Geico 400 is the first race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup – the first of ten ‘playoff’ style NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in pursuit of the 2013 championship.
