X Factor judges' houses round 'will take place in Antigua, southern France, Los Angeles and New York'
There are many qualifications you need to be an X Factor judge. Musical talent. Understanding of the industry. The ability to spend a two hour live show clad in plunging, bejewelled chiffon and never glance down and scream "****, my nipple! Oh, it's OK, it's just a Swarovski crystal that went a bit pink in the light."
But the most important skill a judge can have is a practical understanding of international real estate. They need a string of glamorous, gracious, photo shoot ready homes all over the world. And where are they flying their acts to this year? The semi in Surbition? The bungalow in Bedfordshire? The static caravan in Llandudno?
According to The Sun, they'll be schlepping to the US, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, with Nicole Scherzinger taking her lucky girls off to fabulous, beachy Antigua. A bit of sand in your bikini bottoms does wonders when you're trying to reach the high notes on 'Hero'.
The report also says that Gary Barlow is taking his Groups to New York, Sharon and the Overs are going to LA and Louis is off to the south of France with the Boys. Is it us, or is Louis' house usually the one nearest to Blighty? Perhaps he prefers to stay close to home because his ears go a bit funny when he flies long haul.
Curiously, the report also suggests that although some of the helpers have yet to be confirmed, Gary will be taking Olly Murs with him and Louis might have two chums along for the ride - Westlife's Shane Filan, and Kelly Osbourne. Has she mixed up Louis with her Mum?
Scherzy is thought to be bringing Mary J Blige - which is all well and good, only Mary sings about wanting 'No More Drama', and we would say, on balance, we we're keen for X Factor drama. Lots and lots of it.
However, before you rush off to Antigua to hide behind a palm tree and look 'surprised' when Nic and co turn up, you should understand that NONE OF THIS IS OFFICIAL YET.
Last night an X Factor spokesperson said “We have yet to confirm details of the judges’ houses.
“The first people we will tell will be the contestants.”
So perhaps Louis will be off to Llandudno after all...
