Michael Bublé’s new single is a moving song dedicated to his wife – and MailOnline has an exclusive first look at the sumptuous video that accompanies the release.
Taken from Buble’s album To Be Loved, the 37-year-old wrote the song as a tribute to his wife Luisana Lopilato, 26 - the couple are expecting their first child together.
Bublé said the song is meant as a tribute to how much ‘she helps carry me...how she shares the load with me. I was just thinking, “You’re always the one that pulls us through.”’
The song includes the lyrics ‘You’re one of a kind/Thank god you're mine’, and features Buble in unashamedly nostalgic mood. It is a full-fledged ballad based around a piano and strings.
Bublé, casually dressed in a leather jacket and jumper, walks into a film recording studio with a giant screen, and sings the heartfelt song whilea series of shorts scenes are projected onto the screen in front of him. The touching scenes include some elderly couples kissing and laughing, a man proposing to a woman in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a female soldier arriving home to her loved ones, and a gay couple getting married.There is also footage of young people cycling, rock climbing and surfing.‘It’s an unashamedly heartfelt tribute to the strength of women, and how much men depend on them. And people call women the weaker sex,’ he says. ‘How foolish is that?’Canadian singer Michael met Argentine beauty Luisana in 2008, before getting engaged to her in 2009.Backin January, the model announced their baby news on her official website. The 25-year-old lingerie model wrote: 'Mike and I have big newsfor you', before linking to a YouTube video showing the first sonogram picture of the couple's unborn child. They revealed last month that their baby would be a boy.
'I just know right know that I pray that he's healthy and that my wife is healthy,' he said. 'I'm just goingto try to be a good dad like my dad was and like his dad was. If he turns out to be a great, macho hockey player or a gay ballet dancer, I'll be just as happy as long as my kid is happy.
However,the couple are still deciding on a name for the new arrival. 'I think it's a good, healthy battle. We both want something that the kid is proud of when he's in his teens, and at the same time, that is special.'
We'rejust trying to go back and forth and sometimes I just mess with her because she likes certain Spanish names. Now, I'm just messing with her and saying that I want to call the kid "Thor."'
The song is taken from the album To Be Loved, the Canadian singer's sixth studio album which followed his Christmas record that sold over seven millions copies and was the second-biggest selling album of 2011.
The album also includes hits previously recorded by some of Buble’s musical heroes including the Bee Gees hit To Love Somebody, Dean Martin’s Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You), the Jackson 5 early '70s smash Who’s Loving You, Jackie Wilson’s To Be Loved and the Elvis Presley classic Have I Told You Lately.
Reese Witherspoon makes a special appearance singing along with Michael on the classic Frank and Nancy Sinatra duet Something Stupid.
