汪子臻Olympic and music never fail to fascinate human beings. I myself am very interested in music. I regard music as my own never land. If I cannot take possession of this land one day, I am sure that my life could hardly go on. Many think that the Olympics narrowly have any relation with people’s life, actually it is not true. Olympic is everywhere in people’s life. But what is most important is that you should get to know what is called Olympic ---- Olympic is not the Olympic Games, it is not only a place, and it is not a competition. The purpose of holding the Olympic Games is not for the medals, for money, but the SPIRIT. Olympic is such a thing that includes advanced spirit, to be united, to be continued, to be peaceful and a large number of things representing the good spirit. I think my long way in studying music also need the spirit in Olympic. I have learnt piano for more than 5 years. I remember at first, I rather loved my piano and learnt it happily with excitement and thrills. However, as time went on, I lost the interest in piano and began to complain about it:”How boring it is! It is a waste of time.” Especially, I remember when the Fifth Grade Test was coming, everyday I spent nearly 6 hours in front of the piano. Please imagine, dear audiences, what would you feel if you have to spend 6 hours everyday in front of a white-black machine? At that time, when I saw the piano, I would scream out: “Oh my god, it is piano again! What am I going to do?” So I really have a very hard, very boring time. But at that time, many Olympic competitors came into my mind. Around the Olympic Games, they often had to practice all day along. They were great, so I always made myself cheered up by thinking about the Olympic spirit. But now when my friends appreciate my piano skills, I always feel rather proud and enjoy every word in their appreciations, then I will say:” I am a star, I am an Olympic competitor.” But most people don’t know how hard it is to learn piano and what a hard time I ever experienced. Let me give you an example: Do you know the Bank Beltes? You must have heard this melody:----------------------------------.Do you think it is easy to learn? If you think so, you have drawn a wrong conclusion. I’ve been learning it for more than 3 weeks. I sometimes really wanted to give it up, but then I just remembered the Olympic competitors and the spirits they had. And my parents also didn’t agree with me, they always say:“If you give it up, you would just lost 10000 yuan, and then everyone of us will regard it nothing.” Fortunately I didn’t give it up at last. Now I believe I have some Olympic spirits. I learnt them from learning piano. Learning piano is very hard. It also is for the Olympic Games. Doing good in the Olympic Games is also very hard, even taking part in the Olympic Games is very hard. Both music and Olympic need us have insistent spirits in our hearts. If you are not insistent in music, you will fail to get through the tests and gaining admiring words. If you are not insistent in doing sports and practicing, you will surly fail to get the medals and then receive disrepute.
