15. Tyra Sanchez
She was made fun of for the way she spoke and how “lazy” she was, however, time and time again on the runway she gave you everything you wanted and more. She was polished, perfect and was even willing to glue things onto herself for the sake of beauty. But this is not why she makes number 15. Underestimated and clever, Tyra always managed to persuade the other girls that she was just not into a scene, and then she’d go on and kill it. The other girls kept dropping like flies, and there Tyra was at the very end, pulling off wigs and turning it out. While Raven gave her stiff competition, Tyra proved she was indeed America’s Drag Superstar. Smart huh?

14. Phi Phi O’Hara:
She said she not leavin’ til’ she get that crown! She never got it, but that didn’t stop her. While seen as one of the biggest villains on the show, Phi Phi was one of the smartest. If you looked at her before Drag Race, she is obviously an amazing singer, but she never threw it in anyone’s face even in the challenge with Sharon. She always kept it an even playing ground, and she outshined everyone except Sharon and Chad. Episode after episode while she fought with anyone and everyone, she always made a good point (not always). She pointed out Willam’s self-absorbed behavior and it was actually true. She also tackled challenges unconventionally which always lead to her wins and while the other girls dropped like flies, she was there to the very end. Even in the finale, she sat there with tears in her eyes helping Sharon walk down the runway, by fixing her dress. Phi Phi out smarted everyone, even Sharon at times. There was that twinkle in her eye and when the other girls came for her, she knew exactly how to shut them up.
13. Chad Michaels: This queen came, saw and came again to conquer her crown! She beat out fan favorite Raven, and proved she had what it takes to be the first All-Star queen. But let’s rewind. The minute all the girls saw Chad Michaels on Season 4, they figured, “Just another Cher impersonator.” Even the judges had a problem seeing past the “Cher” in Chad. But when the show progressed, it was on like Donkey Kong. She impressed by looking flawless, speaking eloquently, and made no enemies. She knew what to say, how to say it, and while Latrice almost took that third place, Chad said, “No ma’am miss Pam.” She was a class act, and managed to ruffle no feathers but gain respect along the way. Then in All-Stars, she came full force with her teammate Shannel and came out on top. Very smart.
12. Yara Sofia: @宝宝加唲
Season 3 was one that really left a mark. Chock full of interesting queens, but no queen was quite as kooky and inventively brilliant as Yara Sofia. While a language barrier usually hindered some queens, she took it and ran with it, showing the world that she not only could make it very far, but had talent and creativity to boot. She was Echando Palante, and episode after episode gave sickening looks, especially the hair challenge that was indeed a spectacular, spectacular. Although Shangela left her high and dry at one point, she kept treading on, and proved to America she was one fierce queen. Even in the Untucked episodes, she was quiet and reserved allowing queens to hash it out until she felt the need to speak. Yara Sofia then came back for All-Stars and out-shined her teammate Alexis Mateo with her impersonation of Charo a Latin superstar.

11. Latrice Royale:
In Seasons past, big girls were getting the boot early on and Latrice felt the representation was inaccurate. She wanted to prove that a large and in charge woman could go through the show with confidence rather than hindering themselves because of low self-esteem. She pummeled the runway, and even inspired the other queens to love themselves even through personal tragedy and a tainted past. Using her brain, she calculated each episode by being funny, sweet and un-abrasive, never needing to rub anyone the wrong way to win. She had her reads, but they never equaled hating or throwing shade. She was in it to win it, and gave it her all by being classy. She was Latrice Motherfuckin’ Royale and her stint garnered her many loyal fans. So much so, she went on to All-Stars and paired with the delicious Manila Luzon but went home in a controversial elimination. That fueled the flames to write a hilarious song called “The Chop” with Manila and she even graced Revolutionary Gay’s March cover as a many firsts. She was the first black covergirl, the first Drag Queen, the first black drag queen and the first non-male model to grace our cover.
10. Manila Luzon:
This queen was a trademark the minute she entered the Drag Race doors. She was one of the first queens to have a trademark look and feel and was never afraid to rock a great outfit on the runway. She was also one of the first queens to give us high glam without being campy or boring. Bu this is not why she made our list. Episode after episode, Manila locked into The Heathers but made a name for herself. She was likable, silly and could be controversial but never put it out there to be. She was hungry for the crown and while the other girls kept getting the chop, she just kept going without a flinch. When she made All-Stars, we all thought she and team partner Latrice would go all the way, but they didn’t. And while gracing each season, she was intelligent by playing Snatch Game guilty pleasures Madonna & Imelda Marcos. She made fun of stereotypes, and while some people found it offensive, it kept Manila relevant and in it to win it. After Drag Race she became the first Drag Queen on the show to hit a million views with an original song.
9. Jujubee: There is no Raven without Jujubee, and no Jujubee without Raven…but don’t get it twisted. Jujubee is of the Master Class. Never anything super spectacular on the runway compared to the other queens, it was all in the humor and personality that made Jujubee a household name. She was not about to let you outshine her and while she didn’t try hard to be cool, she was top of her class no matter what. Her intelligence kicked in with challenges when everyone thought she was just taking up space. She pulled it out and bam! She was everyone’s sweetheart. She was not afraid to tell you how she felt, but it never hindered her. if anything, she proved she was not one to fuck with. She made it to top three twice in her season and All-Stars and in both seasons she didn’t fail to go full speed ahead in trying to win the crown. She is vibrant, cool, funny and obviously used her head to stay so long in the game two times in a row even as a team.

8. Delta Work: This sassy queen is number 8 because although queens 15-9 made it farther, she was not one to be ignored. She had an opinion, a voice, and her drag was one of the most polished. She knew how to throw shade, but the only thing that set her back was herself. Had she pulled threw the comedy challenge, she would have made it very far. Always one to think on her toes and be wise beyond her years, Delta like Phi Phi dug their own graves, but still came out on top. Delta is vivacious, sexy beautiful and still has much to prove. She thought out every challenge and brought it, until she had to go. Why Delta is so intelligent? She stood fresh in our minds, she trailblazed for the big girls and was one of the first to have a real voice.
7. Shangela: Probably one of the smartest queens to ever hit the Drag Race runway, Shangela managed to get people to sew for her, come out of a box twice, and get eaten by zombies. She also managed to get on Raja’s last nerve which was hard because Raja was normally cool calm and collected. Shangela’s make-up was questionable, her outfits were questionable and her remarks, but she still managed to make the judges love her and rightfully so. She was extremely funny, very beautiful, and was larger than life. She meticulously thought everything out and ruffled feathers along the way episode after episode. But even doing that, she was still a fan favorite and continues to be. She has always been sweet and wonderful, but her brain was always at work to get the crown.

6. Detox Icunt: She had it. Officially. And we ate that shit up with a spoon. This seasoned queen with a silicone heart of gold, came onto the scene guns blazing. Her first outfit on the show was worthy of a queen already. She had a confidence that only a mentally stable queen could have, and week after week she was the one to beat. She was classy, gorgeous and her lip syncs were legendary. Funny as hell, Detox meticulously went through each challenge with flying colors. Very well spoken and bringing the BEAUTY, Detox shut up Serena Cha Cha for saying she and the other girls were uneducated. Even when Detox threw a bit of shade, it was never anything to cry about. She was a bad ass bitch with a mission: America’s Next Drag Superstar. She knew when to speak, when to listen, when to turn on the charm. This was one of the most innovative queens since Raven.
5. Alaska Thunderfuck: One of the funniest queens to EVER grace Drag Race, the fifth time was the charm. Many thought this was a half-assed second coming of Sharon Needles, but Alaska proved she was very much her own person, breezing through the show not only winning, but bringing a heart that pierced through our television screens. This galactic queen used her brains to know when enough was enough, and when constructive criticism was key. She never rubbed anyone the wrong way and defended others when she had to. She was funny, kooky, silly, beautiful and while some may have made fun of her, she gave everyone the biggest fuck you in the finale. Alaska is probably one of the most iconic queens ever because she had a winning drag queen boyfriend but still managed to have people come to shows because of Alaska not Sharon.
4. Raven: The name says it all. Stupid is not anything that describes Raven. She didn’t care if she was nice or not, she wanted people to see Raven in all her beautiful glory. One of the most sickening queens, a legend, Raven managed to use her intelligence to outsmart, outwit and outlast all the queens…TWICE and this ain’t even Survivor! Each episode on her season and All-Stars whether she failed or not, she still managed to make us root for her and made us fall in love. She is fucking funny as hell (Just watch her Ring My Bell on World Of Wonder’s YouTube) and has a big heart. In all of her shows, she always brings her A game and you just feel like she’s the best friend you’ve always known. Raven used her wit to use Drag Race as platform to survive and win, and while she was close to winning the crown twice, which no other queen has ever done except Chad Michaels and Jujubee, Raven will always be supreme for years to come.

3. Jinkx Monsoon:
An underdog who managed to win it all for Season 5, Jinkx won our hearts just by breathing. Such a sweetheart and such a role model, Jinkx brought all she had to the show, and came out on top. There was so much controversy swirling around this season, but through it all Jinkx used her brain to win challenges, bringing us a brilliant Little Edie, a singing voice and characters only SNL would dream of having. She carefully planned all her outfits whether people loved them or not, and was compared to Sharon and Pandora many times. At the end, it was all about using her intelligence to overcome obstacles and be QUEEN.
2. Sharon Needles:
Probably the most famous QUEEN ever to come out of Drag Race and win, she brought a much needed spunk and spook to the runway and while there were plenty of personalities on each season, Sharon killed it. Every episode she proved to the world she was kind and genuine, even when she had her fights with Phi Phi. She wanted to win the crown but she never stepped on anyone’s toes. Her looks were calculated and perfect, and she went on to be so popular she even released an album PG-13 that was a hit and charted on the Billboard charts. Sharon will always be the most creative and intelligent queen, only second to…..
