6.5.05 - Hello! Welcome to my new website! I know it doesn’t look like much now, but it will be up and running in no time and I promise it will rock! So, as most of you have heard by now, I have decided to put The Calling on hold and do a solo record. I am extremely excited about this and trust me, the future will be great! The two shows we played last month were the last Calling shows for the time being. Thank you to all the fans who came from all over the country, and even Canada to see us play! The shows were incredible to say the least. I know you have many questions right now, and I’ll do my best to answer them here in this letter and on the upcoming message board on this site. So, starting with the incredible band we now have playing with us…if all goes as planned, they will be right behind me on stage next year when I go back on tour for my solo album. We have all become close friends and they are an extremely talented bunch of guys. I’m looking forward to getting back on the road with them and my new material and so are they. We will ALWAYS play everyone’s favorite Calling songs live. That is extremely important to me and will not change. As for our online site and The Loft…addresses and layouts will change, but our awesome community of friends will not. I hope to see everyone follow me on this new journey. I am no longer working with RCA/BMG. I will be working with a new major label that will take care of me very well. I have surrounded myself with friends and supporters to take me to the next level, so I can tour the world again on an even bigger scale and see each and every one of you. I hope to have big success as a solo artist and I plan on revisiting The Calling later on. That is my ideal situation. I wish I could sit you all down now and play you the demos of my new material I have created, cause I’m so excited to share it with you…but that would take too long! At least I know you will all be hearing it soon! My mission for the rest of this year is to include you all on every step of my solo career; My new online site and The Alex Band Loft soon to open, which record label I am soon to be signed to, when I will be going into the studio, video and audio of the creation of my new record, etc. So, stay tuned and I will fill you in on all that is to come. Thank you all again for the love and support you have given me over the last 4 years. I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life…and I’m on my way to making new ones.
