'You are alive only because I allow it': Captain Kirk confronts a villain on board the Enterprise in exclusive new clip from Star Trek Into Darkness
n a new sneak peek clip from the latest Star Trek film, Captain Kirk is seen confronting a villain.
Kirk, played by Chris Pine, strides up to the as yet unnamed character, played be Benedict Cumberbatch, and tells him to 'shut his mouth' warning him that his life hangs in the balance.
He said: 'Let me explain what is happening here. You are a criminal. I watched you murder innocent men and women.'
'I was authorised to end you and the only reason why you are still alive is because I am I am allowing it, so shut your mouth.'

Kirk replied: 'We all make mistakes.'
At this point the villain presents the captain with some cryptic clues.
Cumberbatch said; 'I surrendered to you because despite your attempt to convince me otherwise you seem to have a conscious Mr Kirk, if you did not it would be impossible for me to convince me of the truth.'

The character then reels off a list of coordinates 'not far from earth' and suggests that if the captain takes a look, he will understand the situation a little more clearly.Kirk asked for a reason to trust the villain.
He replied: 'I can give you 72 and they are on board your ship, they have been all along.'
The majority of the cast from the hugely popular 2009 Star Trek film have returned as the action is taken up a notch in the upcoming flick.

Star Trek Into Darkness, directed by J.J. Abrams, also stars Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, and Peter Weller.
The film hits cinemas May 9.
