Khloe Kardashian will not be back as a presenter on the third season of The X Factor USA, it has been revealed.
The reality TV show star had been rumoured to be departing the show - and had been criticised for her performance in some quarters.
But her co-host Mario Lopez WILL be returning, show boss Simon Cowell has confirmed in a statement.
He said: "Hosting a live show and keeping the judges - especially Demi [Lovato] - in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he's coming back."
And a show executive said of Khloe: "Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavours."
It is not known whether a new co-host will be recruited, or whether Mario will be flying solo this year.
Lopez tweeted: "I'm excited to officially announce I'm returning to the @TheXFactorUSA team! We're coming back stronger & better than ever... Can't wait."
There are currently two empty seats on the judging panel, following the departures of LA Reid and Britney Spears.
