Regarding the failed patch *read*
the NGM file in question is 1 kb .txt file.
Inside this file is shows:
NGM
{
en-US
{
"FullPatch" "
http://download2.nexon.net/Game/Vindictus/Patch_Full"
"LightPatch" "
http://download2.nexon.net/Game/Vindictus/Patch_Light"
"CurrentPatchInfo" "CurrentInfo.txt"
"UpToDatePatchInfo" "UpToDateInfo.txt"
}
}
So i just took a moment to play in command prompt,and run simple test:
Ping is your friend...
For instance when you ping
www.google.com you will get something like this...
C:\Users\******>ping
www.google.comPinging

Now when we go and try to ping the the links found in the NGM.txt you will most likely get:
C:\Users\******>ping
http://download2.nexon.net/Game/Vindictus/Patch_FullPing request could not find host
http://download2.nexon.net/Game/Vindictus/Patch_Full. Please check the name and try again.
SO this shows that the link/Server is most likely down.
thus we cannot connect to it.
Thus your receive a error.Because it is trying to run a check to compare your client version VS. client version on the server and is unable to.
So unless nexon REALLY messed up it should fix it self (cross fingers) when they release the new patch,so there will be no need for reinstallation.等更新 先别重装
