5。游戏场景设在巴布亚新几内亚一个热带天堂般的孤岛上。由于岛上爆发了僵尸潮，且僵尸具备超级体能及嗜血本能，玩家作为仅存的正常人类族群中的一员，需四处搜寻前人留下的装备和物资，以夺得生机逃出此地。幸运的是，玩家并不是唯一的正常人。僵尸潮爆发时玩家所住的宾馆的里还有几个未被感染的健全人，于是大家一同开始了逃生之路。

岛计划拍成电影
最近讨论最热烈的《死亡岛》游戏预告片，根据该游戏的电影版制作已经纳入好莱坞的拍摄计划。
好莱坞新闻站The Wrap日前报道，制片人Sean Daniel和联合娱乐（Union
Entertainment）已获得这款在2007年公布的游戏的电影改编权。
Daniel与联合娱乐总裁Richard Liebowitz和制片人Dmitri
Johnson已经跟踪游戏开发有好些年了，2009年时已获得电影改编权。Daniel（《狼人》，《木乃伊3》）和联合娱乐（《极限特工》）目前正在寻找合适的电影剧本。
问题是，预告片未描绘任何游戏玩法的细节；那电影是建立在实机游戏还是已经引起强烈反响的预告片呢？以我猜，他们应该选择预告片的情感和混乱感。
《死亡岛》游戏作品将在2011年登陆PC，Xbox360和PS3。
