1. You have to download coast to coast expansion pack which is free.
先安装coast to coast补丁
2. The official 1.05 patch and the unofficial 1.06 patch. You need to download 1.05 patch and install that before 1.06.
再安装官方1.05版本补丁及非官方1.06补丁
3. This will then give you some headache saying a pop up that will say "No Disc Inserted" if you click on it via steam, so you have to go here:

Railroad Tycoon 3 v1.02 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE
4. Replace the official rt3.exe on the steam folder and pray.
把原本1.06的exe备份, 贴上这个1.02版本EXE, 进入游戏,
在settings里打勾 "disable hardware t&l"
然后退出游戏, 把1.06的exe覆盖1.02的exe, 这样就能在windows 8下正常进入游戏了
