Why do you think the Pirate films have been so successful? Lots of reasons starting with Johnny, who's just amazing in the films and director Gore Verbinski, who's a genius when it comes to bringing together all the elements the special effects, the characters, the epic surroundings and still making a film that's kind of loose and crazy and from the hip. I think the combination of what seems like the real world combined with the surreal fantasy of Davy Jones and the skeleton crew is really appealing as well. After Pirates, do you have any more work lined up? With this long stint of working coming to an end and also turning 30, I thought it was the right time to really consider what it was that inspired me to be an actor, who it was that I looked up to and what I wanted to achieve when I set out. So I'm excited about the next chapter in the making. How do you feel about being a pin-up? Apparently you're the most searched for name on Google and you also are the world's most kissable man. I try not to give it any thought. I mean, I'm grateful, but I don't think of myself as handsome or sexy at all. How does popularity affect your day-to-day life? Well, I can't remember the last place I went to and wasn't recognised. It's the price you pay, but of course you don't think about that when you start out. You don't think it's going to happen, and then suddenly out of nowhere it's a train you can't get off. Have you discussed your career with Leonardo DiCaprio? We're friends, so yes, we've talked about our careers. But look at Johnny Depp as well. What's interesting to me about Johnny is that he's made a career out of making movies that people might call failures and now he's in the driving seat and his choices look like the right ones. I think you just mustn't be afraid of making mistakes. I'm sure I'll make lots of them!
