They comment on how short he is in real life, try to hand off their personal mixtapes, and intrepid groupies still offer—read: throw—the things that groupies offer. In that regard, Kendrick's just like any of-the-moment hitboy. But the first thing people say, even the groupies, is how much they loved his album, good kid, m.A.A.d city
. They quote lyrics, compliment his flow, and, of course, finish every sentence with Kendrick's trademark, "ya, bish." The Compton-raised introvert is a celebrity for the right reasons, and we love it.
