Damien made his first TV appearance for Being Human series 5 alongside co-stars Michael Socha and Kate Bracken on T4 Sunday on uk Tv channel E4. Having only just been gifted short glimpses of the next series of our fave supernatural show last week on a BBC3 promo advert, T4 treated us to a funny interview with the cast and aired the first full exclusive clip to be shown on TV!

The interview began with Damien answering the question, “what’s it all about?”
Being human is basically 3 best mates living together in a house in Barry island… and they just happen to be a vampire, werewolf and a ghost.”

His words reminding us that beneath the exciting supernatural shenanigans, action saturated epicness, stunning plots, deep, wide storylines and multidimensional characterizations that happen in and around Honolulu Heights, at the heart of Being Human lies the very simple and beautiful foundation of the relationship between 3 friends united by their differences from the world, and negotiating the dynamics of the differences between themselves. And perhaps it is exactly this domestic intimacy that is most engaging and entertaining and leads us to invest so immensely with these special characters.

Damien unkowingly gave the perfect intro to the new footage, where we see the 3 main characters at their hilarious best – an unkempt, beardy Hal still tied to the chair where we left him at the end of the last series, being spoon fed mashed banana by Tom and surrounded by ever growing piles of mess at Honolulu Heights, his OCD nature clearly tortured by this state of untidiness and uncleanliness and offending his pompous sensibititles. (Though we can’t help but imagine his cleaning nirvana when finally released!).

What else did we find out? Oh yes….that Damien hates bananas, and leaves behind a very nice smell. Apparently making him more like a ghost than a vampire.
