Do you know the thing that I've always found fascinating? That in a world filled with so much hate, anybody could be upset by the simple notion of two consenting adults simply loving one another. Doesn't everybody in this room find that abjectly ridiculous? This is Australia, we're meant to be accepting, we're meant to be tolerant and it doesn't always manifest in violence like it did here, but bigotry is present and it is insidious and there are far too many people out there who just don't care how outrageous that is. So, we might not win by going to court, but at least we'll be heard.
