Salman aims to release Sohail’s film on Eid next year
TNN | Nov 27, 2012
Sohail Khan's Sher Khan is on hold. However, he and his brother Salman Khan, will start their new film (not known whether it is the remake of the south film Brindavanam for which they have acquired the rights, or something totally new) on January 20, 2013.
Says a trade source, "The target is simple. Salman and Sohail are tr
...ying to bring their new film out in the first 10 days of August in time for Ramzan Eid."
Everyone knows that Eid and Salman have become synonymous with each other. His success ratio around this festival has been: Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Sohail Khan's next film (2013).
Ekta Kapoor has already announced that her Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again with Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha will release on Eid next year. If both films come, guess there will be a tightly contested box office match here.
Meanwhile, there is also trade talk that Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty will target bringing Chennai Express exactly 15 days before Eid. This date is lucky for Rohit because in the past two years he has brought Singham (2011) and Bol Bachchan (2012) in the same period and both films have worked for him.
A source adds, "There was talk of SRK also wanting to target Ramzan Eid for his release. However since it is Salman, who seems to have proprietorial rights over Ramzan Eid, SRK was advised that it would be prudent if he doesn't choose Salman's date."
As of now the OUATIM sequel and Chennai Express are being shot at breakneck speed; while Salman and Sohail have just begun working on their script. Like a trade analyst said, "Eid next year could well turn out to be like Diwali this year. There will be additional fireworks if more than one superstar's film comes on the same date."

Salman Khan is bade dilwala. Never known to be stingy when it comes to pampering his film crew, Salman took the crew of Dabangg 2 out for a shopping spree in Dubai and what more he foot the bill himself.
The shooting of Dabangg 2 wrapped up in Dubai with the filming of the song ‘Saanson Se’ on Salman Khan and the leading lady Sonakshi Sinha. It was earlier reported that Salman planned to throw a party to celebrate the hard work that the film’s crew put in during the last few months, but none had anticipated that the superstar would let loose his purse strings the way he did.
We hear that Salman Khan took the crew of more than 20 people to shopping at Splash & ICONIC stores in Dubai Mall and told them to shop to their heart’s content and not worry about the bill.
Even as the crew excitedly went about buying stuff like apparels, footwear, electronic items, watches, and much more, Salman Khan, far from regretting his offer, too joined the spree and bought a few things for himself. Though the total bill ran into lakhs, Salman didn’t hesitate in footing it, as promised.
At the end of the day, the Dabangg 2 crew was a happy lot and their benefactor Salman too was glad to see the beaming smiles.
That’s what’s called spreading smiles by Being Human.

Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha watch 'Life Of Pi'
Salman Khan takes Sonakshi Sinha out for a movie

A movie date
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his Dabangg 2 co-star Sonakshi Sinha were spotted on a movie outing. The duo, along with close friends, attended the screening of Ang Lee’s critically acclaimed film Life Of Pi at a suburban theatre in Mumbai.
The
...screening was organized by Fox Star Studios. Salman Khan turned up in casuals -- a Being Human tee with jeans. Sonakshi Sinha wore black leggings a peach top. She looked rather sulky even though Salman was in a jolly mood and happily posed for photographers.
Life Of Pi has already got rave reactions from Bollywood.
Karan Johar says the film is a must-watch. " 'Life Of Pi' - must watch!! Its message will have multiple interpretations and will be open to post viewing analysis. That's the fun of it," says Karan.
Shekhar Kapur too praised the film. He tweeted: "Watching 'Life Of Pi' second time in two days. Brought my daughter and her friends. Nice to see a full house and lots of kids. Fantastic movie."
Wonder what Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha’s reaction was after watching the film. The duo recently completed the shooting of their film Dabangg 2 with a wrap-up shoot in Dubai. The film, directed by Arbaaz Khan is slated to release on December 21.

I can’t fight, Chulbul can
Salman tells us all we want to know about his alter ego and why he does not approve of Abhinav Kashyap’s 'tutor'
Mehul S Thakkar
Posted On Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 03:00:22 AM
We caught up with Salman Khan at Mehboob Studios, in between meetings, interviews and sporting a new hairstyle. Salman breezed through the 60 minutes with a cigarette he chose not to light
... and in great spirits. Excerpts.
♦ How much has marriage and fatherhood changed Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 2?
The character doesn’t change. Chulbul Pandey was going through a very unhappy phase. He had a step brother, his mother was married to somebody else, his father was no more, he was in two minds about trusting his brother. Pandeyji is now a father, the head of the family. He is in a good space. But then comes an emotional jhatka, he goes back to being the old Chulbul Pandey.
♦ Does being married and being in a happy space mean he picks up the grocery on his way home?
(Smiles) Check that out for yourself. But yes, you will see a lot of sweet bits of him.
♦ How much of Salman is there in Chulbul Pandey?
I don’t know. Just that sometimes I cannot react when I should; but Chulbul can. There are times when I should be tackling things head on, but then decide to step back, take the beating. But Chulbul takes charge.
♦ Chulbul is full of spunky one-liners. Do you come up with them spontaneously or just stick to the script?
When you are writing it, you are writing it in the room. But when you go to the set, it’s a different thing.
♦ What’s this story about you taking offense when someone calls you ‘bhai?’
All sorts of idiots call me that. Even rank strangers. Not everyone has the right to call me bhai. (Gets animated, mimics a kid) Kids call me, ‘aye Salman how you doing…Mr Khan…oye Salman Khan, I love it. But when some people call me bhai I think they are faking it. I hate it when some people call me Sallu. But when they call me that out of love, it shows. It’s the tone that matters. Only Arbaaz and Sohail should call me bhai. Besides, my parents have given me a name, it’s a superb name, Salman Khan and I prefer people calling me Salman. I think this ‘Sallu’ was started by Jackie (Shroff). Now he calls me Salley!
♦ How much of Abhinav Kashyap is still there in Dabanng 2?
When Abhinav came to us, it was a very dry art kind of film. The kind of films they (the brothers) make. In fact now, his brother (Anurag) has changed his style. He has now got that masala touch. There were no songs earlier in Dabangg, and we had to change that. We kept improvising and that the film achieved a certain form is also thanks to Arbaaz. But Abhinav contributed as well. To give him credit, he realised that if you want to make a saleable film, you need a commercial touch, you need songs. That’s when Arbaaz came into the picture. But then Abhinav decided to opt out of the sequel.

♦ Didn’t you want him to come back?
I did a lot. I told him - ‘I don’t know who has tutored you to refuse the sequel. Meri baat mano, do the film’. I called him twice. Then his brother gave some weird interviews and all that stuff happened.
♦ That he refused to take up your offer must have surprised you…
Yes. I was in Thailand shooting for Ready. Arbaaz told me that Abhinav simply texted him saying that he doesn’t want to do it. Then the brother (Anurag) went on twitter and all that stuff happened. I thank Anurag for planting the idea that Arbaaz should do the film and he has done a good job. He has taken the film to a new level. Dabanng had drawn very negative pre-release vibes - doob jayenge mar jaenge, industry ko duba denge etc. But it went to become the fabulous film it was.
♦ How did you and Arbaaz get along?
We had massive fights during both the films. Creative debates turned into arguments. It went on till one of us too a step back, calibrated our responses. See, its either black or white, tum bologe off-white hai grey hai… what nonsense!
♦ So who wins the argument?
Whoever is right.
♦ Reena Roy once said…
(As if on cue, Sonakshi walks in) That Sonakshi looks like her? (smiles)
♦ No, that you are responsible for how Sonakshi looks on screen. Do you try to make your heroines look ‘respectful’ on camera?
(Nods in agreement) It gets very awkward. Women have these little 'oops' moments while dancing. I just say thoda sa upar kheechlo.
♦ Have heroines ever told you what to wear ?
Ya. Why, Sonakshi was the one who approved my moustache in the movie.
♦ How much has Sonakshi changed between Dabangg 1 and 2? (Sonakshi, next to us suddenly looks on coyly)
I think Sonakshi is going to start killing it now.
♦ And you are open to Dabangg 3..
Of course, we have already thought about it. We will go back to his past, the making of Chulbul Pandey.

Making a sequel is very difficult: Salman Khan
Shalvi Mangaokar, Hindustan Times
Mumbai, November 29, 2012
Salman Khan’s been having a busy week. At 10 pm on Tuesday, hours before he wraps up his day, the actor speaks to us at Mehboob Studio, Bandra. Here are some excerpts from the interview.
What can audiences expect from Dabangg 2?
I don’t know. Dabangg (2010) did really well. I don’t know if
... you can expect the same thing from Dabangg 2 or not. We’ll find out on December 21. We will also find out what the audience thinks of it.
Was making the sequel tough?
It is very difficult. If you follow the same path, aise lagta hai ki yeh dekhi hui picture hain (it looks like a film you’ve seen before), if you do something different, then it looks like a different film. There has to be a mix.
How was it to be directed by your brother, Arbaaz Khan?
I was glad. He was very involved in the first film.
Then is it true that he ghost directed Dabangg?
No. It was directed by Abhinav (Kashyap). Arbaaz was the producer, so he was involved. But Abhinav refused to direct the second part, even though we insisted that he should. I don’t know why he refused. After that, I thought Arbaaz was the best choice.
You gave Sonakshi Sinha a break with Dabangg. Now she has become a successful actor. Was working with her different?
She is a confident girl. She has lived cinema, which is why as soon as she wore the sari in Dabangg, she looked like Rajjo. This role got her where she is today and she is comfortable knowing that. Sonakshi, Sohail, Arbaaz and I share a great comfort level. That has helped our on-screen relationship.
You were popular as a romantic hero with fil***ike Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994) and Maine Pyar Kiya (1989). Do
you miss those roles?
No. A hero is a hero — whether in a romantic role or in an action part. I would like to go back to doing those kinds of films too, but they have to be larger than life. Everything you do has to be larger than life.
You’ve always said you don’t believe in numbers, but your films have always raked them in.
I have always maintained that no one should lose money. You should earn a little more than what you have spent on the making of the film for the sake of the exhibitors, distributors and the audience. This Rs. 100 crore, Rs. 200 crore hype I don’t get. Today these numbers exist, tomorrow they may not. As long as no one is losing money and people are enjoying the films that are being made, it’s all good.
Do you watch a lot of TV? You’re being appreciated as the host of Bigg Boss.
I watch a lot of TV. That’s why I can contribute this much. Today, I missed watching the 10 pm episode of Bigg Boss, but I’ll catch the repeat telecast later. Sometimes when I don't understand what’s happening, I watch some episodes twice.
What’s the next step for your charity, Being Human?
Lots of stuff is happening. The Being Human café will start in 2013.

Salman Khan to make a special appearance on CID
Reza Noorani
11.30.2012
The superstar will make his entry in one of TV’s longest running shows
From being an iconic crime fighting show on television, CID is fast becoming the place to go for all our big screen stars who are playing cops in their upcoming movies. After Aamir Khan shot for two special episodes where he uncovered a mystery along with
... ACP Pradyuman, it is Salman Khan’s turn now to promote Dabangg 2.
The superstar will be entering CID as Inspector Chulbul Pandey. Incidentally, this will be Salman’s second appearance on the show. He had earlier done a similar special appearance two years back while promoting his film Wanted. Wonder what antics will Sallu be up to this time!

Exclusive Interview : I have never seen 100-Crore – Salman Khan
Thursday, 29 November 2012 16:32
Nayan Karekar
No matter how much his movies earns at box office, the Megastar Salman Khan says he have never seen 100 crore on his table. Especially when it’s their home production film, actor says they always get into loss. So why at all Salman is saying so . . . check out his exclusive interview
... where he opens up everything about his upcoming movie ‘Dabangg 2’ releasing December 21st.
Do you think the sequel film will get the benefit of first Dabangg’s mega success?
The film means a lot to me because we have taken lot of extra effort to make it different from 1st Dabangg. Dabangg has become a brand because of its ‘hatke’ title and its unique style. Moreover I think people connects themselves with this brand so who have liked 1st Dabangg, they will watch the sequel but the success of sequel is totally depend upon the response of audience.
What was your thinking when you decided to do Dabangg and even the sequel?
The script of Dabangg was lying on the tables of many big production houses for 2 years, no one was ready to make the film on it but when we made a film on it everyone got amazed with the response. I personally liked the script and found very appealing to the mass audience, and after that with the amazing response we went for the sequel.
Dabangg has a lot of Desi style and belongs 80’s era?
No it’s not like that, Dabangg’s style is today’s style which connects with today’s masses. Its style and its category is very hatke’ that doesn’t match with 70’s or 80’s era at all. ‘Chulbul Pandey’ is today’s character. After a long time such a unique character has come, a corrupt police officer who is good at heart, who sings-dance-fights everything in very ‘hatke’ style.
How was it working under brother’s direction?
Very nice because I was more comfortable, as I knew if anything goes wrong or though I give any kind of suggestion, I didn’t have go down anywhere as Arbaz is a brother. We just have one year age difference so our tuning is also good. We fought a lot on set, also tore each other’s clothes, and over all enjoyed a lot.
Was it easy or difficult for sequel and what will be difference that audience will see?
The first Dabangg ended on a happy not, there was no villain left or any bitter moment remained with anyone, so it was more difficult for us to work on script where we had to show how and why the story goes ahead. With that we also had to keep in mind that the sequel should not go much bigger than Dabangg or it should not also be lesser than 1st part, we had to make a balance film so that people should enjoy the film and not compare with first one.
Well about difference, all the characters are same , just a story has moved forward. This time the romance is one step ahead because I think people likes to watch romance of married couple too.
You have now become a star who gives a guarantee of 100 crore film?
What is 100 or 200 Crore yaar, I have never seen 100 crores. When it’s our home production film we don’t earn any profit, in-fact we bear a loss because all the time we goes over budget. May it Partner, Hello Brother, Pyaar Kiya Toh. . . or anyone, we have never earned any profit. I think only with Dabangg, Arbaz has managed to earn some profit for 1st time.
So now you are full confident for Dabangg 2?
Yes, I am; we have seen the film and we all liked it, we think we have delivered our best. Now we are just waiting for response of audience. No matter how much film earns, for me it is successful only if my audience likes it.
So can we also say the sequel series will continue?
Yes, of-course; in-fact we are ready with Dabangg 3, it will have the story of Chulbul Pandey’s personal life and all. But Dabangg 3 will only come if Dabangg 2 gets the same success.

Salman won't call himself Sher Khan in Sohail's film
By Subhash K. Jha, Dec 1, 2012
Contrary to reports that Salman Khan has changed plans for his Eid 2013 release and is now looking at remaking a South Indian film to be completed in time for Eid it has now come to light that Sher Khan is still on...But with a different title.
Says a source close to the project. "For reasons best known to Salma
...n he has decided to change his character's name. He won't be called 'Sher Khan' in the film. Otherwise Sohail is still directing the same script."
One strong theory offered by someone close to the film on why Salman wants his name changed in Sher Khan is that 'Sher' is seen to be a jinxed title after the way the Sanjay Dutt-Vivek Oberoi starrer Sher recently got stalled
Says a source, "It shows no sign of being revived. No film with the word Sher has ever worked. You check the past record of films with the title Sher. Not one of them has worked. Besides, Salman didn't want to play the typical traditional Pathan."
Apparently Salman heard Sanjay Dutt was playing the typical Pathani 'Sher Khan' in Apoorva Lakhia's Zanjeer and opted out of using the name and get-up.
"Salman has always looked up to Sanjay Dutt. He didn't want to get into the same space where the two would be compared.", says a source close to the film.
Apparently the character is now being modernized. But the script remains the same.
Confirming this director Sohail Khan says, "Only the title Sher Khan is changing. Otherwise we are starting the same film in January 2013 as per plans."
Sohail vetoes rumours that Salman will star in a remake of the Telugu hit Brindavanam.
Says Sohail, "That subject requires a much younger lead. I'll probably produce that film next year.

DABANGG 2: Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor’s Entertaining Banter On ‘Bigg Boss 6′!

MUMBAI: It was another fun-filled episode of reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ last night, with the host with the most, Salman ‘Tiger’ Khan. But what made this eviction episode even more special was a visit from Salman’s special “Khan” friend.
No, we don’t mean Shah Rukh, Aamir or Saif. The latest Khan on the block, Kareena Kapoor Khan paid a visit on the sets of reality TV show, ‘Bigg Boss’, to promote her latest item song from ‘Dabangg 2’.
The song, ‘Fevicol Se’, features Kareena Kapoor Khan in a gorgeous, Indian, sexy avatar, where she gyrates to the steps prescribed by choreographer Farah Khan. Salman and Kareena unveiled the song exclusively on ‘Bigg Boss’ last night.
Salman Khan was his usual naughty, entertaining self despite having a severe cold and viral infection. He introduced his friend Kareena with the usual words of praise “the lovely, the gorgeous, the most beautiful”, which are words he uses for pretty much anyone visiting him on the show! He also ribbed Kareena endlessly when he stated that she had married “the wrong Khan”.
Salman wore a maroon blazer, a black button down shirt and grey trousers for this special episode. Kareena looked absolutely stunning in a gold sequined floor length gown, which showed off her bare, toned shoulders.
The item song was revealed exclusively on ‘Bigg Boss’, and was an instant hit with studio audiences and also the millions of viewers glued to their TV sets. Kareena is seen displaying some really hot moves in the song, with the quintessential pelvic thrusts et al, and Salman’s entry as lovable cop ‘Chulbul Pandey’ just adds to the appeal of the ditty. Salman nearly steals the limelight from her as he dances to ‘Fevicol Se’.

Sohail的SherKhan延期了。但是他和他哥萨将会在13年一月开始新片拍摄(关于新片不知道是翻拍南印电影
Brindavanam
。呵呵。。】
