来看看这首歌真实的背景吧Somebody Out There - Alex - Playgrounds Magazine - A song about somebody being abused. I didn't know someone that was abused. I was, actually. Not by my parents but by someone It was when I was a lot younger. I didn't make that up. You would be surprised how many people have been abused!

Alex - Q & A on AlexMaxBand.com - "Somebody Out There" for me was coming to peace with something, something dark, deeply rooted in my past. I was no "little girl" as the song states, but I was 5, 5 years old and being badly molested by an 18 year old kid who lived up the street from me. This went on for 2 horrible years until I finally broke down and told someone. I questioned everything; Why has this happened to me? What did I do to deserve this? I didn't know right from wrong, I was just a little kid. Now I can't tell you what happened afterwards, but the song kind of explains that in the verses. Lets just say, things have a strange way of presenting themselves to you later in life. Something like that can haunt you forever if you let it, but it can also teach you the most important thing...that everything happens for a reason, whether good or bad, things are meant to be, and there has got to be somebody out there who decides that. Even though I would love to kick that disgusting person in the face who did that to me, if they were still around, I would probably first shake their hand and say, "Thank you giving me the passion to write music."
