After resting for 2 months because of the mononucleosis which has endangered his career, Mario was pale in his face and took a racquet in his hands. But only occasionly. He was invited by the organisers of the tennis tournament ''Makarska Open 2007.'' , so the tall, handsome, dark-eyed tennis player played with his sister Sanja , also a tennis player, on the central Makarska square with kids. Many citizens commented Mario's pale face and exhaustion.

- I'm quite exhausted, this sickness has tired me. I still can't make any prognosis about my comeback to trainings and tennis. My doctors said that recovery lasts very long. I have no plans and I don't know when will I be in shape for tournaments. Health is my priority at the moment. I don't want to risk it not even because of tennis which I adore. – said Mario.The sickness got him when he was in the pride of his power, one of the most prepared players on the Tour.- It was weird because suddenly I was getting tired by just walking.
