IT took minutes for The X Factor winner Samantha Jade to reach No.1 with her single What You've Done To Me.
And knock judge Guy Sebastian off the top iTunes spot in the process.
Jade's X Factor win - the second in a row for an artist mentored by Sebastian - also helped boost her now record labelmate's album Armageddon to the top.
But the pair have competition breathing down their neck with Sony revealing they will release the X Factorrunners-up singles tomorrow.
While they were the first to be eliminated in Tuesday's grand final, The Collective weren't too upset having already met with the record company and assured they had a future.
Not only will they release their debut single Surrender tomorrow but the quintet are expected to start working on an album within days.
Jason Owen, the man Jade pipped at the post to be the first woman to claim the title, will also be offered a recording deal and release his Make It Last single on iTunes tomorrow.
Sony has moved fast to capitalise on the popularity of the finalists, with the winner's announcement attracting more than two million viewers.
They are believed to be in negotiations with at least one other singer uncovered by the show and expected to annnounce that signing before Christmas.
The mother hen and underdog of the 2012 finalists, Jade appeared genuinely pleased her X Factor mates were also getting their big breaks.
"I am very happy about that because those singles are all good songs and we are all such different artists,'' she said.
"And I've already got to No.1 which is incredible. Who would have thought the pop girl would win?''
The singer, who has adopted her fan-prescribed name of Sammi now, has plans to record a duet with her team-mate and friend Nathaniel Willemse, whose exit from the show caused an outcry from the judges and critics.
"Guy better ask me to do a duet but I really want to do one with Nathaniel too,'' she said.
She said her biggest surprise - besides winning after being in the bottom two so many weeks - was the many comparisons she has drawn with Kylie Minogue.
"I personally don't see it - obviously it's the height - but she's an inspiration to Australian girls and that's what I want to be,'' she said.
Her winner's record Samantha Jade will be released on December 7, launching it with a national instore tour to thank fans for their support.

It’s closer to Jason’s single than it is to Samantha’s or The Collective’s singles. The only commercially popular artist that I can kind of compare the sound to is Adele.
