VB: Well, it's really interesting. I never heard of the song two years ago. Maybe I heard it on radio once or twice...

VB: Exactly. I was really surprised when I found out. It was like, 'How could I miss this?' One of the bands we really respect is U2, and I had some kind of a bootleg album...from a live venue, really bad quality. I had it in my iTunes. I was looking for one of our songs for the "Fragile People" album. I typed in 'people' and listened to whatever came up, then it skipped to the next song which was 'People Get Ready'. Somehow it caught my attention, and I'd never heard the song before. It was a really cool vibe, and as I looked up the lyrics, it was...WOW. Then I found out Curtis Mayfield wrote it when he was with The Impressions. I fell in love with the song. We started playing it live, and we didn't really rehearse it. We just kind of jammed it out. It opened up a new way of playing music and feeling it. It's all developed live.

HRM: Another song, which struck me as odd the first time I heard it, was 'King Of The Parking Lot'. The more I heard it, the more I liked it. It sounds like something Neil Young would have written. It also sounds like it could have been written about your father.

VB: Yeah, you're right on with that. It is about our father. Our father was a welder in Ukraine when we lived there. We came to the United States in 1992. Dad didn't know English, so he couldn't get an office job or anything like that. He didn't know how to do other things but weld. He found a job in Portland and worked as a welder for 16 years. That song is from a kid's perspective, on how much we appreciated what our Dad did. As we got older and all got cars, our driveway shrank. Because Dad got up so early in the morning, if you parked behind him, he'd wake you up to move your car. We just kind of joked that he was king of the parking lot.

无意中给我找到Oceans Deep这首歌，第一次听就迷上了，上网查才知道原唱叫做Sons of day，后来再找这支组合的其它歌...听后...现在疯狂迷上他们了...他们每一首歌都能吸引着我。因为网上的资料并不齐全，看到这贴后非常开心，我真的非常感谢LZ，让我能多了解他们。
