Reptiles aren't the only hazard in the wilderness. The Mira Tiger is a ferocious carnivore which inhabits the greater forested regions, such as Henneth Annun and the Tawar. These tigers are not only known for their amazing speed and strength, their claws and bite carry a deadly venom. Fortunately, they tend to only hunt at night, and few travelers are ignorant enough to be out in the depths of Henneth Annun or Tawar-in-Druedain at night.

The Ayten are creatures that stalk swamp and marsh regions. They may be distant relatives to the Sandworms of Harad. Like the sandworms, their tremendous size makes them dangerous creatures to encounter. These creatures prey on animals as large as a Gura-Bask. Some native clans are known to worship these creatures.

Perhaps the most dangerous creature to seafarers is the Yatali. These aggressive hunters can reach lengths exceeding 100 feet. They typically hunt in the coastal regions, near inshore areas. They have shown no hesitation attacking large watercraft. While they normally are found in large bodies of water, they have been sighted in the Anduin River as far upstream as Pelargir.

Perhaps the most fearsome reptile is the Lautan. Not only is this creature a monstrous hunter, standing over 35 feet in height, it is rumored to track creatures by psychic impression. As a result, the use of Psionics has been known to attract this creature. Some scientists believe that this creature is the reason that the use of Psionics has significantly declined in the native population compared to when they first colonized Cassiopeia. Scientists believe that the Lautan naturally uses various psionic abilities when tracking its prey, primarily aimed at stealth and distracting its target

Another fearsome carnivorous reptile is the Danak. These flying reptiles typically inhabit mountainous regions. They can be up to 20 feet in length with a 60 foot wingspan. They frequently feed off domestic livestock and have been known to attack large trade caravans. Unlike most creatures, Danak sometimes hunt in packs, posing a tremendous hazard to travelers.

If the harsh desert environment of the Harad isn't enough to deter most travelers, the presence of the fearsome sandworms usually is. These gigantic creatures travel beneath the surface at tremendous speeds and are nearly impossible to track. According to rumor, they can sense the movement of beings on the surface.
