TFW: You’ve said before that your family is one of your biggest comedic influences. How so?
NPH: We are such a microcosm of personalities, it’s wonderful. All of us are so different but mesh so well together – a really beautiful thing is what it is. Gideon will do something and then Harper will respond with a little movement and then David and I just look at each other and laugh - OK, giggle. It’s fun to focus your attention on two bundles of funny!
TFW: That’s very adorable! How do you maintain a connection with the family when you’re away on travel?
NPH: You know, technology is a great thing these days. Video-chatting, sending emails, etc. All that goes a long way in maintaining communication with each other. I carry pictures with me of them everywhere I go and take photos with them and send it back. It’s like we were together. David likes to make stories with the kids about the photos.

TFW: Speaking of working on other things, could you tell me a little bit of what else is going on in your life?
NPH: Well, I’ve got the boys at home who I love – David and the twins. They tend to take a priority in anything I do. I was just thinking the other day about all the traveling for work I have lined up this summer; going to miss them a lot. I’ll be in Paris shooting a movie for a while and it’s hard to be away for long periods of time.
