Miranda Cosgrove Talks Summer, Beauty & Fashion With Celebrity Teen Scoop

Miranda Cosgrove is a brand ambassador for Neutrogena, and is also participating in the company’s Wave For Change campaign whose purpose is to encourage teens to donate to educational charities. The iCarly star took a break from her duties to answer some questions exclusively for Celebrity Teen Scoop about her summer plans and to give some tips on fashion and beauty.

On What She’s Doing This Summer: “Just going to the beach with my friends and having a good time. I would like to take a surfing lesson as I think that would be awesome. I’m also doing a little mini tour this Summer where I have been traveling around the United States doing some shows, so thats been really fun. I love getting to be on tour and doing concerts because it’s totally different than filming iCarly where we are on a soundstage and you don’t get feedback until the episodes come out months later. Just getting to be on stage and having the energy of the audience and being able to meet people every day, that’s been really fun.”

On What She’s Wearing This Summer: “The one think I love about the Summer is you can wear shorts and sandals. Right now, I like bright colored shorts. I recently got a bunch of neon pink and red shorts so you can wear a more simple tank top in white tank top or a black tank top. I just think those are fun. I like bright colors.”

On What’s In Her Beauty Case Right Now: “I really like the MoistureShine lip glosses. Those are some of my favorite Neutrogena products because there are all really pretty colors and bright so good for the Summer and they feel really good on your lips. I also really like the Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit. That’s good to use before bed and you can use it in the morning too. It’s just great. It keeps your skin really clear. I really like the Pink Grapefruit line. I love the smell of grapefruit and all that stuff smells awesome. And I like the pink color that all the products come in.”

On Being Safe Before Having Fun In The Sun: “I think it’s really important to wear sunscreen everyday no matter what. I always do. It’s cool because Neutrogena has sunscreen that you can wear under your makeup as I know a lot of my friends are like, “ I don’t want to put sunscreen on because I want to wear makeup and I don’t want it to affect my makeup,” but it’s so important to wear it and you can wear this kind with your makeup too. Also if you want the look of a tan, you don’t have to go in the sun. You can wear sunless tanner. It has the same affect and you are not harming your skin.”

Neutrogena‘s Wave for Change campaign continues to empower teens with its annual program geared towards education in the U.S. This year’s philanthropic campaign encourages teens everywhere to make a difference by donating to educational charities to improve school programs and amenities for children of underserved communities. From July 1st to August 31st, Neutrogena and GlobalGiving, a fundraising charity that benefits education, have teamed up to reach a goal of $250,000 via simple online initiatives that prove a little teen spirit goes a long way.
