Interior scenes inside 79 Delancey and this outdoor shot at Sara D. Roosevelt Park, near the corner of Forsyth and Stanton Streets. In this particular park bench shot, we see a down-on-his-luck Mark Ruffalo crying and feeding the feral pigeons. For this, two trained wranglers were onsite to properly steer the birds into the shot.
The plot centers on an aspiring singer-songwriter (Keira Knightley) who moves to the city with fellow musician and boyfriend (Adam Levine). Their breakup shortly thereafter sets the stage. Mark Ruffalo and Hailee Steinfeld co-star, with John Carney (Once) and Judd Apatow in director and executive producer roles respectively.
