作为Vogue Australia七月号的封面人物，Delta Goodrem首次公开谈到她和前Westlife成员Brian McFadden分手的原因：“There is so much I'd like to say. I was really unhappy and I didn't know how to get out. I learnt. I got there in the end.”
Delta表示当时她和Brian在一起过得并不开心，但不知道要怎样从这份感情中全身而退。而和Nick的恋情则完全相反：“(But) I only have good things to say about Nick.”

Delta on ex Brian McFadden: 'I didn't know how to get out'
Delta Goodrem has finally talked publicly about her split with ex-fiancé Brian McFadden, more than a year since the high-profile couple ended their seven-year relationship.
"There is so much I'd like to say," she told Vogue Australia in their July issue. "I was really unhappy and I didn't know how to get out. I learnt. I got there in the end."
Delta is in a much happier place now, basking in the success of being a judge on The Voice and her hit comeback single, 'Sitting on Top of the World'.
"I feel like it's a totally different chapter; I feel like I'm back to being me again," she added.
The exes issued a statement last year claiming they had "grown apart".
Both moved on quickly — Delta had a much-publicised 10-month relationship with US pop star Nick Jonas. Brian, a judge on rival talent show Australia's Got Talent, hooked up with now-fianceé, Dancing with the Stars contestant and Irish model-DJ Vogue Williams, a year ago.
Delta told Vogue (the magazine, not Brian's ex), that her relationship with Nick Jonas was a rebound from one extreme to another.
"But I only have good things to say about Nick," she said.
For now, Delta is happy going solo.
"I have so much love to give that it's hard for me to say [no]," she admitted. "I'm very affectionate and so I'm just happy to be single and meeting different people and just enjoying being a 27-year-old."
