歌曲介绍和评论1：Estranged（疏远）是迄今为止G N’ R最为出色的作品，它集结了G N’ R身上最优秀的东西：Axl的两种最具代表性的嗓音，Slash极其注重感情表达的solo，Matt简洁有力的鼓击。在这首9分22秒的歌中，钢琴已不再仅仅是为了获得一种较柔和的音色而作为陪衬（在很多重金属乐队中，钢琴往往用在旋律性较强的作品中，为了获得一种比较“软”的效果），作为自始至终贯穿整首歌的乐器，它已被提升到相当重要的地位。从一开始钢琴柔和的分解和弦伴着Axl轻声吟唱When you talkin’ to yourself，and nobody’s home，极好地烘托出了那种孤独的气氛，随着一声吉它凄厉的啸叫，Axl改用一种略有些玩世不恭的嗓音。第一部分结束后，是一小段钢琴solo，虽然只用了右手，虽然只有一把Bass在底下奏出几个根音，却依然是那么的美，随后是大段的钢琴与吉它、贝斯、鼓相和的间奏，好象已没有主次之分，水乳般交融在了一起。最后的部分Axl改用宣言式的唱腔，钢琴则用明亮的大三和弦，给人以拔地而起的恢弘气势，中间再次嵌入两段吉它Solo，仿佛每当Axl唱完一阕，便由Slash操刀上阵，稍事休整，Axl又再度上场，俩人轮番作战，很是精彩！

就在Axl Rose和Izzy Stradlin再好莱坞寻找自己的梦想的时候，还有另一群人也在洛杉矶为自己的音乐理想奋斗。吉他手Slash原名Saul Hudson，1965年7月23日出生在英国Stoke On Trent，自幼随家庭迁往美国，1976年前往洛杉矶发展，并且受到了包括史密斯飞船乐队主音吉他手Joe Perry的影响，从小就开始弹奏吉他。从14岁开始，Slash就开始和鼓手Steven Adler走到了一起。Steven Adler于1965年1月22日出生在美国东部俄亥俄州的重镇克利夫兰，于1972年就搬到了洛杉矶，当他和同岁的Slash走到一起不久，都只有18岁的Slash和Steven Adler于1983年组织了自己的乐队Road Crew，Slash在报纸上刊登广告招收贝斯手，结果衣着朋克、疯狂的喜欢The Ramones和The Sex Pistols、身高一米九十以上的帅小伙Duff McKagan拿着广告前来应聘，结果不仅凭借外表，更凭借让Slash和Steven Adler叹服的贝司技术以及与生俱来的朋克气质，Duff McKagan顺利的成为了Road Crew的一员。Duff McKagan于1964年2月5日出生在美国华盛顿州的西雅图，原名Michael McKagan，又名Duff "Rose" McKagan。在他的早期生涯中，Duff McKagan从十几岁开始就频繁的在各个乐队中效力，在加盟Road Crew乐队之前，Duff McKagan曾经更换过至少30家乐队，其中绝大多数都是无名之辈，不仅是出色的贝司手，Duff McKagan早年还曾经做过七年的鼓手，同时弹奏木吉他的技术也同样是一流，具有天生的统治力和领导才能，因此，无论在哪支乐队他都是希望充当统治者和指挥。 　　1985年，Duff McKagan把Axl Rose和Izzy Stradlin以及Slash和Steven Adler等人组合到了一起。Duff McKagan把正在L.A. Guns乐队中的Axl Rose以及L.A. Guns乐队的核心、主音吉他手Tracii Guns和鼓手Rob Gardner，以及在L.A. Guns乐队担任主唱的Axl Rose，加上Izzy Stradlin共同组建了枪炮玫瑰乐队的前身，乐队名字也叫做“Guns N' Roses”，名字的本意是吸取“L.A. Guns”和“Hollywood Rose”的各一半。但是在不久之后，Tracii Guns不甘担任乐队的非绝对核心，离开了此时规模初显的“Guns N' Roses”，继续领导他的同样取得非常大成功的L.A. 半年开始，游历世界各大州共计27个国家和地区。 　　枪炮玫瑰乐队的解体终于在这场旷日持久的世界巡演中开始了，1991年11月，乐队赖以创作的栋梁Izzy Stradlin以不习惯大规模世界巡演的疲劳为由，宣布离开了枪炮玫瑰乐队。而事实证明，Izzy Stradlin的离队对于枪炮玫瑰乐队的影响是致命性的，在Izzy Stradlin离队之后，至今枪炮玫瑰乐队都没有创作出任何一首好歌，更不要说是一张专辑了。原Kill for Thrills乐队的吉他手Gilby Clarke入队代替了Izzy Stradlin的节奏吉他手位置，但是他并不能像Izzy Stradlin一样给乐队带来同样的好的歌曲创作灵感。Gilby Clarke出生于1962年8月17日，同样出生在美国俄亥俄州的克利夫兰市。
