Last night's America's
Next Top Model All-Stars finale sure didn't lack for
drama. One finalist, Angelea Preston, was mysteriously disqualified. Then,
with little explanation from Tyra, the show or the network, the entire final
judging panel was reshot with the two remaining finalists. And, once again,
cycle 12 fan-favorite Allison Harvard ended up runner-up rather than
big winner, coming in second to cycle 5's Lisa D'Amato.

The fan response to all this controversy has ranged from curious to furious,
but it hasn't fazed Allison too much. "I made it so far again, and I'm so
lucky that I get to wake up every day and be like, wow, my life is ridiculous
and funny, and I've had such a peculiar past few months. But I think that's the
beauty of it," she told me when we spoke this morning.

Good! I'm glad to hear you're wonderful. What
have the last, oh, 12 or so hours been like for you?
They've been really funny and ridiculous. Just
looking through a bunch of emails people have written to me. Like, it's just
the outpouring of people being so sweet. It's been really overwhelming and
ridiculous, but people have been supportive the whole way through. It's been
great.
记者: 很开心听到你最近过的很好. 你对发生在最近的这12个小时前的事情有什么感觉呢?
A: 很好玩, 很有趣. 我刚看了人们给我发的邮件, 他们流露了很多甜美的感情. 而且知道很多人一直在支持我的感觉很棒.
At least on our website, the fan response has
been huge of people saying you should have won. How do you respond to that?
I mean, of course you compete in this
competition to win. I would have loved to have actually won the competition
this time around, but life's not so bad. I mean, I got to have this great
experience. And I got to go to Greece. You know, I'm still alive, and I'm a
very determined and motivated person, so it's definitely not the end. I'm more
motivated than ever.

Well, we can stay
positive about the photo shoots then. What are your future plans? Are you going
to continue modeling, or focus more on your art?
I mean, I feel like I'm in the most productive
part of my life. I might even take some acting classes. I've always loved
theater. I did it all throughout high school and college. I love all of that,
and I live in New York where I'm fortunate enough to have these outlets
available to me. I'll always be painting and doing commissioned work, and I'm
going to continue to direct projects, with art direction. I'm very passionate
about that. And shooting. I'm always willing to participate in modeling
projects. You know, why not? I'm just trying it all right now.
记者: 那么你对未来有什么计划吗?是继续你的模特生涯, 抑或是更多的关注于艺术方面呢?
A: 我觉得我现在正处于一生中最有创造力的时期. 我可能会去参加一些表演的课程, 我一直都很爱戏院, 这也是我在高中和大学里做的. 我现在住在纽约所以我很幸运, 可以有这么多的出路. 我一直在画画, 接一些委托的任务, 而且我也会继续做一些艺术指导项目. 我对这些都很有兴趣. 我也很乐意做一些模特工作, 我只是在尝试着这些东西罢了.
