Tom and Carrie Fletcher paid a surprise visit to the school, where they were taught the routine by students. Fletcher and his sister Carrie – co-singer of the song – joined London 2012 mascots Wenlock and Mandeville at Chingford Foundation School as the Mascot Dance routine was revealed.
Schools in the Get Set London 2012 education programme are being encouraged to perform the dance as part of celebrations for World Sport Day, presented by Lloyds TSB, taking place on Monday 25 June. The dance was choreographed by students during a creative workshop at the English National Ballet Schools can download the dance instruction films and step-by-step resources from the London 2012 World Sport Day website Tom Fletcher said: ‘These young people have created an amazing dance and we hope all schools can all perform it and have fun on World Sport Day... We are very proud to be part of it; it’s an honour to have the dance set to our song.’
