•Chase Deliberately Kills a Patient in “The Tryant” — Despite having taken the oath “first do no harm,” Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer) decides to take the fate of a patient into his own hands when he is forced to treat an African dictator who will be returning to his country, where he has no qualms about murdering hundreds — possibly thousands — of innocent people. Of course, since Chase actually has a conscience — unlike House — the fact that he faked a blood test resulting in the man’s death ends up affecting his relationship with his wife (Jennifer Morrison), eventually leading to their divorce.

• House Causes Amber’s Death in “House’s Head” — When House is too drunk at a bar to get home, he calls Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) to give him a ride, but Wilson is out and Amber (Anne Dudek) answers the call. She shows up at the bar and when House gets difficult, she follows him onto a bus, which is in a terrible accident, causing her death. Wilson has a very hard time forgiving House and it is one of the big strains on their friendship.

• House Crashes His Car into Cuddy’s Dining Room — In season seven, it looked for a while as if House and Cuddy might actually make a go of their relationship. After all, House really did try — even though he often made bad choices. But things came to a head when Cuddy broke off their relationship because she felt that House was once again addicted to Vicodin. His way of dealing with the breakup? He drove his car into her dining room, landing him in prison.
