SEOUL, Nov. 14 (Yonhap) -- Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe will visit South Korea this week as part of celebrations of 50 years of diplomatic ties between Seoul and Canberra, a local public relations firm said Monday.
Medicom, the PR firm, said Thorpe, a five-time Olympic gold medalist, will make his first trip to South Korea from Tuesday to Thursday. He will give a charity swimming lesson at Yonsei University in Seoul on Tuesday, and hold a press conference on Wednesday at the Australian embassy here.
