Step dancing has had a resurgence in the last few years, thanks in part to Michael Flatley and "Riverdance," and, later, "Lord of the Dance." The Celtic choreography emphasizes heavy tapping or stomping of feet, with minimum movement of the upper body. "Riverdance" recently marked its 10th year of performances with a tour at Radio City Music Hall.
