Senior Technical Project Manager
Position located in Beijing (China)
Your role will be to develop and manage waste-to-biogas projects in China. First Climate is working in various sectors and segments including biogas, technical consulting and supporting plant-owners, design and construction of new plants, structuring partnerships and financial vehicles for financing new installations.
Key Responsibilities
· Business development: Contacting potential customers, identifying their needs and requirements, drafting technical and commercial proposal, following-up until deal finalization, conducting field visits and providing the agreed services, in collaboration with other FC partners and technology providers
· Assessment: Analyzing the technical and financial performance of biogas plants, in order to suggest improvement measures, amendments, technical solutions. This might include amend / translate / draft feasibility studies, technical reports, field visit reports
· Networks: Conducting market researches and creating a network with institutions, academies, private and public players involved in the biogas business
· Expert: Participating in biogas related conferences, both as participant and speaker
Specific Requirements
You have graduated in Engineering (chemical, environmental or mechanical) or Environmental Science with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the natural gas / renewable energy / waste management / water treatment industry, preferably with focus on biogas. Strong skills in project management and customer relation; a track record of successfully completed projects is required. Your ability to work as part of a multicultural and diverse team is accompanied by your ability to negotiate contracts successfully and comfortably liaising with stakeholders of all ranks. You are a team player, a natural leader with good analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in both English and Chinese are an absolute MUST for this position.

Senior CDM Technical Project Manager
Position located in Beijing (China)
Your role will be to manage the development of CDM projects. You will also be responsible for preparing required documents for DNA approval, assist on DOE validation and registration with the EB and provide support on DOE verification and issuance.
Key Responsibilities
· Project Management: Coordinate validation/verification activities; Assess CDM eligibility of emission reduction projects and conduct Due Diligence; Manage the entire development cycle of CDM projects ; Prepare and revise Project Idea Notes (PIN) and Project Design Documents (PDD) in both Chinese and English; Organize meetings with relevant partners and stakeholders.
· Coordination: Together with the Business Development manager, be a focal point of communication with our clients
· Supervision: Supervise the implementation of monitoring plans for CDM projects
Specific Requirements
You have graduated in Engineering or Science and have a minimum 2 years of relevant CDM experience. Knowledge of climate change policy and the Carbon Market, greenhouse gas emission reduction technologies as well as strong knowledge of methodologies and the CDM process are expected. Your ability to work as part of a multicultural and diverse team is accompanied by strong project management skills gained in the energy, waste or industrial sector. You are a team player with good analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

Position located in Beijing (China)
You will manage a rapidly growing sourcing team at our subsidiary in Beijing as well as coordinate Carbon Asset Development project sourcing and development in China.
Key Responsibilities
· Business development: Contribute to the strategy for project sourcing in China; Coordinate existing partnerships and set up new partner networks; Identify and assess project opportunities; Implement the commercial negotiation with project owners and stakeholders
· Project management: Manage project development (CDM cycle, all stages)
· Market management: Collect and analyze policies and market information within the sector
· Advisement: Advise clients on all issues relating to climate policy
Specific Requirements
You have minimum 4 years of professional experience with at least 2 years of carbon advisory in a consulting firm; with cross-sectorial experience in energy, power generation, oil & gas, mining, iron & steel, or other carbon-intensive industries in the Chinese market. You also bring experience in climate policy advisory for government and enterprises. Your proven skills in management and ability to work on a strategic level are accompanied by an in-depth understanding of the international Carbon Market. You are a highly self-motivated sales talent that is well-networked. Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as proficiency in both English and Chinese are core requirements.
