LiMo Foundation is pleased to give its full endorsement of the Tizen initiative as an important step forward for the mobile industry. LiMo is confident that Tizen brings together the necessary critical mass of market and technology leadership so as to enable the establishment of a single, open and independent Linux-based platform for mobile devices.
LiMo will now work in conjuction wtih the Linux Foundation to drive developer engagement, industry support and market commercialization for the Tizen platform and devices. Subject to necessary enabling Board resolutions being passed, it is currently envisaged that the LiMo Foundation organization will (for the 2012 membership year) evolve its remit so as to accelerate market support and adoption for Tizen Platform.
