看到了吗!“Jude Law, in the movie’s best performance”赞扬的声音真的开始多起来了,姐姐我好欣慰[泪眼]
Instead, Contagion is a portrait not of government’s power but of its relative powerlessness. Concerned about safety, Fishburne orders that all experiments on the disease take place within CDC headquarters, but an academic disobeys the orders and makes the first major discovery about it. A rogue blogger who seems to be based on Julian Assange (Jude Law, in the movie’s best performance) delivers impassioned libertarian speeches about the profiteering of drug companies as he promotes a holistic cure in which he has his own profit interest—and the Department of Homeland Security can do little or nothing about it.

No character names are mentioned because these archetypes aren't even fleshed out enough for one to care enough to commit names to memory. Jude Law’s character is the most interesting, for what little that says, but even his performance can’t give the character enough emotional appeal for the audience to care.
Jude Law is the only actor who seemed to have fun with his performance as a conspiracy blogger. As the epidemic becomes worse, more people begin to listen to his “theories” and slowly his conspiracy ideas begin to mimic the spread of the epidemic. Law's character is the only one that seems to tie the film together as more and more people begin to listen to him, the civilian characters begin to follow him as a prophet while the CDC and military characters want to silence him.

Jude Law, too, gives his best performance in years as the skeptical, anti-authoritarian blogger whose motives – and integrity – are questionable. Paltrow and Kate Winslet are as reliable as ever, respectively playing the unwitting patient zero and an altruistic doctor.

最近赞扬的声音已经渐渐压过骂声了,hiahiahia~ “Jude Law also delivers an incredibly poignant performance”[大笑]
Kate Winslet performs on a more familiar turf as a CDC field operative and her acting, albeit brief, is very moving. Jude Law also delivers an incredibly poignant performance. As a full time blogger, conspiracy theorist, and hack medical expert, he preys on the ignorant, the uneducated, and the desperate, embodying the scientists’ worst nightmare. Opposing him is the head of the CDC, played by Lawrence Fishburne, who puts on a remarkably stoic performance. As a World Health Organization epidemiologist, Marion Cotillard adds a refreshing international flavor to the cast and delights through her naturally mild mannered acting.

The film features a big name cast and none of them disappoint. Lawrence Fishburne exemplifies his cool and collective charm as CDC (Center for Disease Control) Dr. Ellis Cheever. Dr. Cheever heads a team of doctors assigned to contain the outbreak. An epidemiologist played by Marion Cotillard, who most would remember as Mal from "Inception," is sent to Hong Kong to track down the source of the virus. Dr. Erin Mears, played by the always top-notch Kate Winslet, is sent to Minneapolis to contain the virus and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the United States. Winslet is very good despite the fact that she is only in the movie for the first quarter. Jude Law also does a nice job playing Alan Krumwiede, a snarky yet persistent blog reporter who investigates possible corruption in the CDC. Matt Damon convincingly plays a father immune to the virus who tries to protect his daughter from being infected. He is a man trying to keep calm as the world descends into panic.
Unfortunately, where the actors succeed, the film fails.

The best performance of the movie (perhaps even worthy of a Supporting Actor nod?) comes from Jude Law—a great actor whose skills too often go wasted (ahem, "Repo Men.") He chews up the scenery as the egotistical, conspiracy theory-sprouting blogger Alan Krumwiede.

The tone of the film was a 50/50 experience. On one hand, the low-key, subtle approach taken had quite a charm, highlighting not only a working-class performance by Matt Damon that unexpectedly gripped the viewer's emotion, but quite a convincing performance by Jude Law, who played a charlatan trying to offer a supposed "cure" to the disease to his loyal fans (at which point, unfortunately, the film beat up on independent bloggers and vloggers).

One of the most intriguing characters is a blogger played by Jude Law,
but Soderbergh admits that the British star almost didn't make it: "With
Jude, we wanted him so much. There was a schedule conflict with the
Sherlock Holmes film, and we broke for a month and waited for him. And
during that period we cut together everything that we had and I had this
fantasy that even without Jude, the movie would work. I thought, 'Wow, I
don't know, maybe we'll have to call Jude and tell him, don't bother
coming to San Francisco.' I can't tell you how obvious it was that we
needed him in the movie; you need that voice, you need that energy."

Contagion is a well-shot and generally well-acted (sans Jude Law's
apparent attempt at an Aussie accent, which I only realised when he uttered
'crikey'), tightly produced thriller that has you more enthralled than other
films dealing with plagues, global warming and/or asteroids.

The juiciest role goes to Jude Law, as a
snaggle-toothed Australian blogger who spreads fear and suspicion of the
authorities and claims to have found a cure.
In the film’s most original observation,
Soderbergh makes it clear that lazy, ignorant writing on the internet is a
virus, too.
Law, underrated as a character actor but
suffering here from a wobbly Aussie accent, has fun playing this very topical
villain to the hilt.

Jude Law perhaps goes a little too over the top playing a San
Francisco-based, Julian Assange-inspired blogger and conspiracy theorist but his
character is the element that lands it firmly in our information-obsessed
present.
But all these elements hang together nicely because Soderbergh is especially
good at juggling multiple storylines
