Superstar Ian Thorpe looking to continue swimming beyond London Olympics

OLYMPIC swimming superstar Ian Thorpe plans to continue competing after next year's London Games.
The 28-year-old, a five-time Olympic gold medallist, is making his return to the pool after retiring in 2006 as he bids to go to next year's Games.
"For the moment I've the intention of continuing swimming after the London Games," Thorpe told reporters at the Paris swimming championships, where he is spectating.
"But I'm going to see how the Games and the training goes."
Thorpe is training in Switzerland and he feels the decision is the right one.
"I thought it was better to train outside Australia," he said.
"It's tough to be so far from your family and friends, but Europe seemed to me the best place for the London Games and afterwards."
