Last month, Finnish rock legends Hanoi Rocks issued in a statement that the band have decided to break up by the end of the year 2008.
Frontman Michael Monroe and guitarist Andy McCoy feel that they've taken the band as far as it can go and now wish to go their separate ways. TT Spektra had a quick chat with the duo, a couple of excerpts:
On creating myths:
Monroe: "Sex, drugs and rock n' roll? We worked hard for it. It was never easy and glamorous for us. There are lots of bands who say: "Dude, I threw the TV out the hotel window," and so on. God, it's such a cliché."
McCoy: "You always end up paying for the TV anyway... Stupid"
On groupies:
重点!!!!!
Monroe: "We laughed at all the groupies who came "backstage" and thought the were sexy, when they in reality were hideous. Leave us alone!"
McCoy: "Sure I liked the chicks but never the 'groupies. Too bloody easy.'"
