世间无佳人（注二），
娇媚与君比；
柔蜜嗓音婉转似，
海上仙乐起。
又似天籁临，
大洋也沉寂，
浪涛静卧闪鳞光，
风平若梦里。
夜月掷银梭，
光练浮海面，
胸怀宽广起伏轻，
如婴正酣眠。
天使亦躬听，
膜拜君尊前，
象是炎夏海风高，
深情柔烂漫！
（注一）此诗作于1815年，并于1816年发表在《诗歌集》（Poems）中，题为《乐章》（Stanzas for Music）。帕尔格雷夫编拟的标题作《世间无》（There Be None）。根据中国传统爱情诗习惯，我将之译成《无题》，似更适合原诗内容情调。在韵式上，我采用了中国古词牌《卜算子》的格调。（注二）世间无（There be none）：英诗原注云，The be none中的be即是are，这是拜仑诗歌里常见的一种矫揉造作文风，此种文风在十七世纪末比较盛行。现代英语中，仍有遗留痕迹，如：“有权力”（the powers that be）。

There be noneThere be none of Beauty’s daughters
With a magic like Thee;
And like music on the waters
Is thy sweet voice to me:
When,
as if its sound were causingThe charmed ocean’s pausing,
The waves lie still and gleaming,
