His work provoked unparalleled admiration, then outrage. Little wonder that the patronage of the Viennese state was eventually denied this great artist. Academics and Catholics were dumbfounded by image after image that produced finally, a puzzle. The mysteries of life to Klimt were impenetrable and Freud[2] himself found art to be ambiguous. But the emergent[3] middle class wanted decoration and the certainty of the beautiful and were willing to pay for it. 　　For a time Klimt was allowed to work on the public edifices of a society at its cultural height, creating allegorical panels in a neo-classical[4], neo-Baroque [5] vein. But his vision was too singular to be stultified for long.　　Though decorative elements remained in later works like The Kiss (his father had been a gold engraver and flourishing gold encrusted overlays were often an integral part of his son's work.), his real power was in portraying the cycles of birth, life and death itself. He became a key[6] figure in the Viennese Secession, the first major show occurring in 1898-- heralding the birth of modern art to a culture still thriving with a foot in both centuries.

神不知道大家是怎么看待神的～～我从来就不相信神，我相信在这个世界上是有神存在的，它也许可以主宰一切，但是我不需要它的什么救赎与施舍，因为相信一个不可信的主人只会让我更加绝望，我一直觉得神是不会救人的，它给了每一个人自己的命运，这是注定的，之后它就回静静的看着，看着你生存，毁灭，看着你快乐痛苦，它不会救你，因为它不会改变自己满意的杰作，就像一个作者在写小说，他安排着一切的情节和人物．．．我觉得是这样，也许神的旨意就是要我背叛他吧．．．呵呵～～大家怎么觉得呢？？
