【★.．CD．】旧的博客文 Hey guys Just thought I'd check in with you all to let you know what's been going on with me over the past couple of weeks… I'm in Miami at the moment, which is where I spent Christmas and New Year. It was weird, I would usually have woken up at my mum's house on Christmas day and done the whole Christmas dinner with bread sauce, chicken in place of turkey cos I always think turkey's a bit too dry, and all the trimmings, but instead I woke up here…I got breakfast from room service at the hotel I'm staying at, and it was this thing like a cracker with sashimi on top of it and a couple of raisins and nuts, and I was thinking why the hell am I eating this on Christmas day?! It's not really what it's all about, but hey, let's try something different! Afterwards I had a BBQ with some friends, went for a swim and a long run on the beach. It was really quite inspirational – who would have thought that at 27 years old, I'd be running on the beach in Miami on Christmas day and then go back to my home here and chill. It's a good look! The weather hasn't been the best, I have to say. It didn't put a dampener on New Year's Eve, but it kind of meant you had to wrap up warm. I ended up watching the fireworks from my terrace, which was beautiful and I saw Macy Gray do an amazing performance, which was a nice touch. Had a couple of drinks to toast in the New Year - in bed by one o'clock! Just before Christmas we shot the video for the new single in a club out here, which I did with a director called Rage. One More Lie (Standing In The Shadows) kind of pushes towards a club vibe, but we didn't want it to be one of those clichéd club videos that looks like you've seen it a thousand times before, so we've tried to mix it up a bit and make it seem much more exciting and different. We also shot some footage at my apartment, which was…interesting! I was under my outdoor shower, it was dark outside and the water was lit so it made it look almost like I was a silhouette. I'm really pleased with how the shoot went and hope you like the video! So we shot the video and that went really well, and then I went back into the studio and started writing and working on remixes for the new single. Nelly's staying next door, so he's come over a few times to hang out. If he gets back in time I'd love to get him to jump on one of the tracks. The campaign for the new record will be about trying to do things in a slightly different way from before, even down to the way in which I step out the door in the morning. Doesn't mean I'm going to totally change my wardrobe, but just step out of my comfort zone a bit. There's this really cool stylist I've used before called Celestine and when she was in Miami we went through some new outfits and looks I was comfortable with and I was like, you know, that's a nice little vibe. So we've been looking at styling, finishing the video, final remixes for the single...This is the exciting time, you get to the point where you've done all the hard work in the studio and now you're about to put it into the wide world and see what people think. I know I've done my bit and am really happy with it, so I hope people enjoy it.
