Considered by some to be one of the most powerful men in entertainment under the age of 30, the birthday boy rang in his 30s with a star-studded, over-the-top soiree complete with surprise performances by some of the biggest names in the music industry. And ET has the exclusive performance footage! The night started off with an exclusive dinner, where Scooter was roasted by close friends and family in which best friend and business partner Usher Raymond served as Master of Ceremonies. After the dinner, the night quickly turned into a bustling party. Guests in attendance included Justin Bieber, Kim Kadashian, Mary J. Blige, Adam Levine, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, David Katzenberg, Jaden Smith, Wilmer Valderrama and Rita Wilson. At about midnight, Scooter, suited up in silver, turned the spotlight on Usher, who promptly got onstage to perform some of his biggest hits. Within minutes, pop phenomenon Justin Bieber joined in on the fun and crooned his hits "Baby" and "Never Say Never" with buddy Jaden Smith to the star-studded room. Bieber then gave his birthday present to Scooter -- a surprise performance by MC Hammer! The hip hop legend performed new songs and old faves including "Too Legit To Quit" for the excited audience. The party kept going with additional impromptu performances by Asher Roth and "The Voice" hottie Adam Levine, who sang Maroon 5 hit "This Love."
Usher&Jimmy Kimmel Benchwarmers Usher teamed up with Jimmy Kimmel on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show for a special tribute to NBA benchwarmers. Following the Dallas Mavericks' Game Five NBA Finals win, Usher and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel dedicated a slow jam to the benchwarmers -- those previously-unsung sideline heroes and all-stars in moral support, huddle hugs and high-fives. The comedy spot premiered on the fifth 'Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night' special Thursday night (June 9), with Usher rocking a casual leather jacket, and Kimmel looking something like a 'Scarface' extra in his grey suit, open collar and aviator glasses. "This bench would be cold without you, benchwarmers/ Sometimes you look dead, but we love you, bench warmers," the duo sings. "You stand up, then you sit back down, bench warmers/ For this you travel out of town, bench warmers." Though Kimmel's R. Kelly 'I Believe I Can Fly' attempt perhaps takes things a bit too far, the clip is smooth, down to the pair's final chest bump. "To all of my benchwarmers out there, me and Jim thank you so much for your support," concludes Usher. "For all the motivation you give to the real players, all of your unique handshakes and chest bumps, we thank you."
Usher Writes An Article About Justin Bieber For TIME Magazine’s ‘Time 100′ Issue “From the minute I met Justin, I knew this kid possessed a certain confidence that only a star could have. He was born a star. He knew what he wanted to accomplish; all he had to do was get everyone else to believe it. Now, looking back at his incredible run, the reality of who he is and what he’s accomplished far exceeds anybody’s expectations of him. What’s interesting and will keep the world watching is that at the same time he’s having this incredible success, he’s like any other kid living a normal life. It’s like our vocal coach “Mama” Jan Smith tells us: You gave up normality a long time ago for spectacular — not many people can be that, so enjoy it. And you know what? Stay tuned, because his story will get even better.”
