【Critique 1 Atomic Structure】05040433 Critique 1 Atomic Structure 张星 05040433This chapter begins with the knowledge of atoms structure ,then introduces two atomic models ,the bohr and wave-mechanical models . Has drawn out the quantum number by the wave-mechanical models, then introduced each element electronic configuration rule--Pauli exclusion principle, the periodic table is precisely forms according to this kind of electronic configuration.Atomic bonding in solids may be considered in terms of attractive and repulsive forces and energies. The text explained how three kind of primary bond form as well as their main difference then briefly said Waals and hydrogen bonds .It is well known, we have leaned the concepts such as atomic structure ,electron configurations in atoms, periodic table ,why we still study Repeatedly .I think if we want to understand a material’s properties ,we must have the knowledge of interatomic bonding , these are the foundations.Through a chapter of study, I thought the related chemical bond knowledge is most important .we had known inside this three kind of primary chemical bonds, respectively are the ionic bonding metallic bonding and covalent bonding .Every bonding has his structure , ionic bonding occurs by transfer and is non-directional but covalent bonding share the electron not by translation ,and it is highly directional .Metallic bonding is different from the above two ,so we leaned these knowledge must know the differences between them . and this is more helpful to our later study.
