【专访】lindsay lohan @ cosmogirl(just my luck) Good luck comes and goes, as Lindsay's character in Just My Luck finds out! One minute she is kissing a boy and the next her life is turned upside down. In this exclusive interview Lindsay chats with CG! about everything from that boy to getting a tattoo and to all her exciting new movie roles. Q.Do you have any luck superstitions? A.No hats on the bed and hats on the table. I am psychotic when it comes to hats on the bed. For some reason, everyone puts a hat on my bed. I need to keep a sign up in my room, NO HATS ON THE BED! Q.You play older in this movie--you're in the working world, not high school. Was that a conscious move? A.Yes. You can only act like you're in high school for so long. Everything I'm doing after this, my characters are the same age, if not older. But this was the perfect thing for me. It is a romantic comedy. I get to kiss Chris Pine in it. But it's acceptable for the younger audience too. Q.You do a lot of physical comedy. Did you have a double for the stunt scenes? A.I did have a stunt double but I ended up doing everything. In the bowling alley scene, where I'm wearing stilettos and I'm cleaning and waxing the floor, they were afraid that I would hurt myself. But I did it. The machine nearly hit me in the head when it swung around but the shot is so funny. Q.Then you had to fall in the mud. A.The director was like, 'Let it melt more in your mouth, and let it start falling down your face.' And I was like, 'I really don't feel like doing this again now!' This is the first time that I really did a lot of physical comedy, and I really enjoyed it. I feel that if I'm going to go for it, I'm going to go for it. At first it's always nerve-wracking, and then once you get comfortable with it, you realize, 'I want to make it as funny as I possibly can.' Q.Samaire Armstrong and Bree Turner play your best friends in the movie. Did you bond on the set? A.Yes. We wrote a lot of music, went shopping--we found some good vintage shops, and shopped online a lot too. Urban Outfitters. We redecorated our trailers. It was like a sorority. We took a lot of road trips, too. We went on a treasure hunt in a limo. They were there when I got my first tattoo. I got "La Bella Vita." It's on my lower back. It means 'the beautiful life.' I got it in honor of my grandfather. Q.Are good female friendships important to you? A.Oh, absolutely. Where are you without friends? I'm a girl's girl. Q.You had some cool clothes in the movie. What was your favorite item? A.The white Versace jacket. I really like fashion. Q.What's next for you? A.I have my life for the next two years planned out. Some are finished. I play Meryl Streep's daughter in A Prairie Home Companion. Bobby is about the assassination of Bobby Kennedy. I have some great scenes in it. My sister was on the set and she was learning about the assassination in school so she learned so much just being there. In Chapter 27, I play a fan of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. I'm going to St. Louis to do a movie called Bill with Aaron Eckhart. And I'm going to Paris to photograph [designer] Karl Lagerfeld for Interview magazine. Then I have Georgia Rule--I play a girl who'd been molested by her stepfather. It's nice to play different people and go into more mature roles as I grow. Q.Are you keeping your hair red for a while? A.I'll be strawberry blond in Georgia Rules. My mom is so happy that I'm red but it's hard for people to believe that I'm playing someone else when I look exactly the same. I feel like changing my hair color helps me more, and will help the viewers of the film believe that I'm not Lindsay. Q.What do you do in your spare time? A.I spend as much time as I can with my friends when I'm in the same place as them. And when I'm in New York it's great because I'm really close with my sister and whenever she's with me she makes me happy. I think she's gonna play a younger me in a movie, Veronica Decides to Die, so she'll be with me. But my main hobby is writing. I'm trying to put together a book, with some photographers and photos I've taken, called Narcissist. Q.How do you handle the constant rumors about you? A.Drama sells so people are going to keep doing it. If I dated as many men as they say I have, then I'd be dead by now! In this industry, you want to be written about to an extent. Sometimes they build you up to try to take you down. But that teaches you to work harder, and this is what I love to do.
