芝加哥1990英文版2 The soul in this body was changed. Aunt Susie and Tony's bucket shaped body and that Connie's growing wide visibly, is a warning sign that is not to be overlooked for his entire life. "You have changed a lot recently, Ali," Tony said. “Have I?” Song’s heart twisted: “In what way?” "Ok……" Tony began to eliminate the milk oatmeal, "is... a feeling... you know." "Easy! For a girl!" Connie retorted: "Who are you with?" Once again, the topic was successfully changed. "I……" Before Song was able to keep up with the idea, Aunt Susie divided the scrambled eggs evenly to the plates of the four siblings: "Close your FXXXing mouth, hurry up, don't miss the school bus!" She was still mad with Connie. "Let me change my clothes! Right away!" Connie didn't talk back this time. She jolted up the stairs. In US it means the girl didn't go home last night if she's still wearing yesterday's clothes. That was the major reason Connie’s coming home this morning. "Who drove her back in the morning?" Aunt Susie took this opportunity and whispered, she did not forget about it after all. "Who knows. I heard only the sound of the engine." Tony replied, and stepped on Song's foot under the table. Song shook his head. Honestly he didn't know. Little Emily shook her head too. Aunt Susie gave up, went back to concentrate on washing the dishes. "Hey! Nigeress..." She sighed. Milk, oatmeal rings, and scrambled eggs, it took Song three minutes to swallow all of them. Now it was 1990, the social benefits were not as good as it had been before he time travelled. But for a single mom with five children, it seemed that there were no problem of basic living and education. Food was even a bit excessive in terms of calorie. After Connie was changed, the four said goodbye to Aunt Susie and walked out of the door. Different than the impression from Song's last life, there was no lawn in front or back of the house. There were only gray-scarred weeds and scattered debris, disrepaired wooden fences, and various types of dilapidated cars. A few families were hanging Cameroon national flags in front of their houses, including Aunt Susie, showing that they still remembered their African origin from far away. "It's chilly!" Chicago's February is cold and windy. Emily shuddered and quickly hid her body behind Tony. Tony turned back and held Emily in his arms, and put his hand in front of her face. Everyone shrank their neck and walked quickly to the school bus station a few hundred yards away.
芝加哥1990英文版 Chicago 1990 Chapter one (向老齐致敬。英文版应该也能大卖吧?) "God only knows I shouldn't have had you! God only knows!" The hoarse female cursing with a natural RAP accent smashed Song’s dream. He sighed and reluctantly sat up, slowly picking up a sweater from bed and putting it on his head. It’d been ten days since he’d time-travelled, to another body. And he was still trying to get used to it. Of course, he was not called Song anymore, nor was he a Chinese. Now his name was Alexander Song, a 15-year-old boy whose parents died in a car accident and who lived in his aunt's house in Chicago ever since. "M-FXXX's seventeen! Seventeen! M-FXXX learned to stay out all night like a bitch! M-FXXkrrrr~" This old house was not offering any soundproof at all, and the swearing was rushing up from below. Aunt Susie was giving a "talking to" to her seventeen-year-old daughter, Song's cousin Connie. "Like father like son." Song thought. Compared to many Chinese who express their feelings in a relatively reserved way, this African-American went out much "stronger" and "passionate". Calling her own daughter a bitch and swearing to FXXX her, it was just the usual way of Aunt Susie. "Yeh, Yeh! Speaking of a bitch, I wonder who gave birth to two kids already at the age of seventeen?" After so many years, Connie was brazon-faced, and immediately talked back, not to be cowered at all. Aunt Susie gave birth to her eldest son Tony at the age of sixteen, and then Connie again the second year, and then, the man who did it run away... "SHXX!" Poked to the pain, aunt Susie brawled: "SHXX! Your heartless little Bitch. Just like the heartless man. I curse you! I M-FXXX curse you..." "Hey, haven't we been talking about not coming home all night?" Song thought to himself. Were a Chinese parent, her focus would definitely not be so easily changed, but Aunt Susie was screaming and ranting and forgot totally that it was about Connie’s staying out all night... Getting dressed, Song got out of the door and went into the bathroom, turned on the tap and began to rinse his face. The sound of the flowing water temporarily drenched down the quarrel downstairs. He looked up at himself in the mirror again. From a Chinese point of view, for a black man he had a slightly childish, handsome face. Because he inherited half of the Chinese blood, the skin color was slightly lighter. At the age of fifteen, about 5 feet 8 tall, and his body was quite well-shaped... Of course, as a time traveler a bright future was set to come. Neither the color of his skin nor the shape of his body would stand in the way. After all, this is the United State of America, where money is supposed to buy everything? "But here is the thing. As a time traveler, no super power is enough. But not even the memory of the last life?" In the past ten days, Song had tried many time, and his memory of the last life was always a mess. Except for a big improvement in math, he couldn't even remember the major events in history, or the games he had played or the books he had read. And the math scores didn't mean much either. South of Chicago was mostly a community of poor black people. Those were the lowest performing public schools. They had low performing standards on the exams. At least he still had this talent as being a Chinese. "Where is the other lazy bone? Get your ass down here!" There are too many children and Aunt Susie treated all of them the same way. She never took Song preferably, nor did she ever abuse him. Of course, she spoke to him the same way. "Coming!" Song quickly cleaned up and went downstairs. The stairs squeaked of old age. It was a typical small house in a poor neighborhood. A single family home, but very close to the other houses to the left and the right sides. It is made almost completely of wood. The second floor had two bed rooms, one big and one small, and a bathroom. The big bedroom was divided into two halves. Song and his cousin Tony took one half, Connie and her ten-year-old sister Emily took the other. Aunt Susie and the one year old brother Fred lived in the small bedroom. The first floor had an open kitchen connected to a living room and a dining room. There was also a half bath under the stairs. Regardless the harsh words, everybody was going on their own businesses. Aunt Susie was stirring the golden scrambled eggs with a spatula in one hand, holding Freddy with the other, who was staring at people around him with his big blue eyes. Susie's latest boyfriend was white, so little Freddy was half white blood. At the dining table Connie and Emily were taking turns pouring the milk and oatmeal rings into their bowls. Tony tilted up his head and was squirting the canned cream into his mouth. "Open your mouth." Swallowing down a mouthful of cream, Tony pointed the opening to Song. "No." Song shook his head.
