【Danny Gokey】NGH Report ~ 这个应该有人喜欢看~ The NGH Report – Top 5 – “The Throat Olympics” So, let’s start tonight off right, by venting about how pissed off I was that American Idol decided to end the tradition of beginning to sing two songs a piece during top 5 week. WE ONLY GOT ONE SONG EACH TONIGHT! We got around ten minutes of music. Total. That’s ridiculous and we are owed an apology. I don’t care if you added another judge; make it work! I shouldn’t have to trudge through an hour of DVR time to watch less than half a dozen performances. It’s heart breaking and it’s killing my American Idol mix CD. So, stop it. The show began with the usual “Look what they’re wearing” segment and with Adam Lambert being the only standing there in a white tuxedo I was very tempted to sing to myself “one of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn’t belong!” I was glad they brought the band on stage tonight, which left the Idol’s with very little room to move around. That’s a good thing. I don’t want to see Gokey trying to “cut a rug” and end up maiming Rickey Minor in some horrible accident. Another thing: Why did Matt look like my grandpa? He was standing there in a suit and what I can only assume is a grossly off brown fedora. Who thought that was a smart idea? And why was Paula wearing a red bow? It looked like she was wrapped up like a creepy older man’s birthday present. Who was the mentor tonight? You’ll never guess!! No, really, you’ll never guess because the mentor was Jamie Foxx. I guess that’s supposed to make sense because he played Ray Charles in a movie? Umm, okay, it’s either that or Foxx has a good publicist who wants to make this whole Miley Cyrus thing go away by generating some positive buzz. Well, fine. Jamie Foxx seemed to be a very capable vocal coach and actually improved a lot of the performance.

Remember: these songs are the pics the Idols made before any dressed rehearsal but they are the real deal. Matt: ‘Fly me to the moon’ (originally Megan’s pick, but Matt insisted). Danny: ‘That’s Amore’ (his second pick is ‘i’ve got you under my skin’). Allison: ‘Can’t Take That Away From Me’. She already sung it during previous rehearsals and will probably do this one on stage. Adam ‘Leroy Brown’ or ‘That’s Life’. ‘That’s life’, was originally claimed by Kris (so don’t act all surprised if Kris comes out on stage with this one). 【Danny Gokey】又有人met danny 了。。嫉妒！还被他搂着照了相。。。更加嫉妒了。。 So I was hanging out, killing time before an Eddie Izzard show last night (Sat. April 18) and was at the Beverly Center mall. Went in Bloomingdales and there, in the mens section was Danny, and 2 other guys. They seemed like they might have been AI staff, helping him pick some clothes out. There was like no one around, so I decided to just walk up. I didn't want to seem like a weirdo so I just came up and was like Hey! and he was said "Hey, I'm danny, what's your name?" So I told him and he said "Hi Lisa, nice to meet you" and stuck out his hand to shake hands. Then he asked "Do you watch the show?", and I admitted I watch every week and am a bit obsessed with it lol. He said cool. Then I commented how he is much taller then I thought (he's got to be like 6'1 or so?) and he started chuckling and then said "Adam says he hears that all the time too." Then he turned to one of the other guys that was there and said "doesn't Adam get that a lot?" and the other guy replied jokingly, well yeah but Adams a giant. We all laughed. I said all you can tell from TV is that Ryan Seacrest is short. He replied, "Yeah Ryans really short" lol. Then I complimented him on his shoes (they were awesome) and he said "thanks they are from aldo." Then I asked if he would mind taking a picture and he said "Yeah, definitely I'd love too" He ran over to look at a jacket he had just put on in the mirror while I dug the camera out of my purse. The he asked the one guy with us to take a picture for us. After that I said good luck and he said "thank you so much, nice meeting you." I commented that I didnt think he'd need much luck anyways lol and he seemed flattered. Overall he was really nice. He seemed casual and kept talking to me lol. He seemed to appreciate a fan coming up to him. I have to admit it made me like him a lot more. I also have to admit he's cuter in person then on TV haha. After I left the mall I was sitting at a red light and it was so random, because the cross walk signal was flashing its count down and suddenly, Danny and the other 2 guys ran by right in front of my car to get across before it changed haha. I thought it was random to see him TWICE in like an hour. Anyways here is the picture, I dont know how to post it here (and I'd rather not see my face on here anyways haha) So I'm just posting a link. (take out the space between tiny and pic lol)

I want to do something on behalf of the fans so we all can tell him Happy Birthday…literally. I set up a Skype number that has voice mail. Call in to the number and leave a voice mail TO Danny. wishing him Happy Birthday. I will record ALL the messages and put them on CD and send it to him for his birthday. If you have Skype, add me ajb8898. Or, if you don’t have Skype, call 1-803-820-4511. I’ll let the voice mail pick up and you can leave him a message. If you can not do either, email me a message at [email protected] and I will print the messages and include it in the package. I’ve participated in this with my One Tree Hill site once and it was a big success. The recipients LOVED hearing the messages. So go, go, go! It’s ready NOW. It's the singer's voice, and how he can sing a song in such a way that it becomes unforgettable, that makes the difference. The greatest singers of all time -- Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, to name some -- didn't have to dance onstage to find a place in people's hearts. But they did have incredible, unique voices, and when they sang, they carried everyone along with them, either soaring high on the wings of their joy, or weeping with them in the depths of despair. As someone who loves the ballet, I'll always have a soft spot for dancing. But singing -- oh, singing owns a very special place in my heart. There is something so indescribably moving in the sound of the human voice, and a person's voice is so much a part of his identity. How many times has the sound of a good friend's voice over the phone brightened up an otherwise awful day? And how many times have we been moved to tears by the voice of a long-lost loved one, heard after so many years of "silence"? And how can words ever describe the grief of knowing that there are some beloved voices we shall never, ever hear again in this lifetime. I can only imagine the depth of Danny's sorrow, knowing that he'll never hear the sound of Sophia's voice ever again. This is the point in the competition when Danny must choose the songs that will showcase his voice and his gift of making people feel every emotion in his heart when he sings. This is when he must really show who he is. Versatility can be learned somehow -- but the ability to reach a person's heart is something unique. You either have it, or you don't. When we listen to someone sing, we want to feel that they're singing to us, singing for us, singing of what we feel in our hearts.
