El guardameta de Cascante firmará hasta el 30 de junio de 2023, según hizo oficial este lunes el club donostiarra. La Real de Jokin Aperribay anuncia, además, que la presentación de Remiro se realizará a principios del próximo mes de julio, ya que "el portero navarro se encuentra de vacaciones en su localidad natal". Cogiendo aire después de una temporada en blanco nuclear. Se trata de un giro histórico Remiro recorrerá la autopista A-8 en sentido inverso al que estábamos todos acostumbrados. Así nos lo decía el histórico. Te vienen a la memoria futbolistas como Loren, Iturrino, Billabona, Bittor Alkiza, Andoni Imaz, Mikel Balenziaga, Xabi Castillo, Iñigo Díaz de Cerio, Borja Viguera, Gorka Elustondo o Iñigo Martínez,... Es el mundo al revés. Pero es lo que hay y no hay que quedarse de brazos cruzados. Todas las nuevas leyes del fútbol golpean al Athletic Si Kepa quedó como ‘El hombre que pudo reinar’ y triunfa en Londres vía Ley Bosman, que permite que equipos tengan casi 20 extranjeros, Remiro, ‘El príncipe destronado’, ha cambiado una situación histórica. Antes los jugadores venían siempre de San Sebastián a Bilbao por motivos económicos, ahora gracias al maná televisivo ha girado la rueda: aparte de permitirte jugar en Primera la Real compite en sueldos, -como demostró con Mikel Oyarzabal-, con los de San Mamés. Lo cierto es que Álex Remiro todavía no ha debutado en Primera División. De él sabemos que jugó 41 encuentros en Segunda con el Huesca en la campaña 2017/18, en la que ascendió a LaLiga Santander. Con los oscenses fue Trofeo Zamora: encajó sólo 38 goles y mantuvo la portería a cero 15 veces. También cuatro con el Levante en el ascenso desde la categoría de plata. Con el Bilbao Athletic jugó 56 partidos, 33 en Segunda, 6 en la promoción de ascenso a Segunda y 17 en Segunda B. También disputó un partido con la selección española Sub 18 y tres con la Sub 19. Lo de la sub 21 no llegó a concretarse nunca pese a ir convocado. Conclusiones El tema es que se va gratis un futbolista con proyección, que ha costado un dineral formar y que abre un nuevo capítulo del vodevil de los porteros. El tiempo dirá si tiene éxito o no. Ya da igual. Lo básico es que el Athletic puede permitirse pocos errores y que todos hemos de comprender que ya es bastante difícil sobrevivir en este fútbol mercantil actual como para poner palos en los radios de la bici. Cada vez los equipos tienen más dinero, tendencia que lejos de explotar se acentúa año a año, la Ley Bosman crea selecciones mundiales y la natalidad vasca es un drama. Así que a ponerse las pilas. El modelo sirve, pero hay que acertar mucho, casi siempre y, claro, remar juntos.

Aportó algo diferente por banda, dejando dos buenas asistencias, aunque por momentos fue algo intrascendente en los partidos. No logró asentarse como titular, sí como primer o segundo cambio. Kenan Kodro (5): Empezó contando con bastantes minutos, pero poco a poco fue desapareciendo del equipo. Siempre daba la sensación de que le faltaba tiempo para poder aportar más. Solo un gol en sus 11 apariciones y sensaciones que fueron de menos a más con el paso de las jornadas. Cristian Ganea (4): Solo jugó en dos partidos oficiales antes de salir cedido en enero. Debutó unos pocos minutos ante el Huesca en Copa y disputó el partido en Levante, ambos con una actuación bastante discreta. En Segunda se afianzó como titular en el Numancia. Se podría decir que pasó desapercibido durante su estancia en el primer equipo.

Nunca dio el Toto con la tecla quizá porque nunca llegó a entender el instrumento que pretendía tocar. Melodía fracasada. Gaizka no regala ni un gesto. No se pierde en promesas y palabras. Trabajo y seriedad. Las casas no se empiezan por el tejado de la misma manera que un equipo se cimenta desde la defensa. Orden. Fue cerrar la brecha de la zaga, buscar la manera más rápida de llegar a la trinchera rival, acertar en la diana en las escasas ocasiones y el milagro se obró. Pragmatismo, resultadismo. Vale. Con la salvación como objetivo, los debates son música celestial. Nadie recordará esta temporada por la posibilidad, increíble pero cierto, que tuvo elAthletic Club de llegar a Europa. Nos acordaremos de la capacidad que tuvo el equipo, dirigido por un hombre de la casa, y una vez más arropado por la grada deSan Mamés, de revertir una situación dramática. Pero eso ya es historia. El presente merece una reflexión El haber salvado el pellejo no debe esconder las graves carencias que tiene el equipo. Sin tensión se le notan los costurones. Los partidos postreros de la Liga han sido muy deficientes. El equipo sabe sobrevivir pero la grada exige también vivir, a poder ser, feliz. El entrenador que llegó para salvar al equipo del desastre, tiene por delante una misión nada fácil, hacer un equipo competitivo desde la primera jornada. Lo tendrá que hacer en una campaña que se antoja de transición. Cambiar sin apenas recambios. Sin fichajes y tirando de Lezama. Cantera para el canterano. El trabajo ya ha comenzado. Tras anunciar varias salidas, una de las dudas era que iba a ocurrir con Xabi Etxeita. La decisión ya esta tomada y el central no seguirá en el club. Etxeita, que acababa contrato con el Athletic el 30 de junio, no continuará en la disciplina rojiblanca, donde ha militado durante siete temporadas, jugando140 partidos y anotando ocho goles (4 en LaLiga, 3 en Copa y 1 en la Europa League). Formó parte de la plantilla que conquistó la Supercopa en 2015. El Athletic Club ha querido agradecer al de Amorebieta su compromiso, dedicación y profesionalidad y desearle lo mejor en su futuro personal y deportivo. Etxeita tenía una opción para renovar su contrato por un año más.

La delantera del Athletic 19/20 estará formada por Aduriz, Williams, Villalibre yKodro, que llegó al club en enero. De esta manera, el club bilbaíno dispone de dos puntas que han realizado una gran temporada (Williams 13 goles, Villalibre 23 goles, aunque conseguidos en Segunda B) y un veterano que puede guiar a los jóvenes. Junto a ellos estará un Kenan Kodro que habrá que ver de cuantos minutos dispone a lo largo del curso.

【First walking】Football training Today, Tuesday 21st of May, Athletic Club Foundation celebrated the first training session of the sport called Walking Football. The 19 registered players (the registration period is still open) have trained on pitch 7 in Lezama and, little by little, they have become familiar with the rules of the game of this new sport which aims to ensure that the over-50s can continue to enjoy football in another way. Among other rules, you can not run, or lift the ball over your head, and contacts are penalized. Walking Football seeks to avoid, as far as possible, the risk of injury, more pronounced as the age of the participants increases. The next Walking Football sessions planned by Athletic Club Foundation will take place on the 28th of May and on the 4th, 11th and 18th of June from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the sports facilities of Lezama. Those sessions are open to all people over 50 who want to try this new modality and then decide whether to join the Walking Football teams and tournaments that Athletic Club Foundation will launch the season 2019/20. 【New kits 19/20】Upon This Ground Athletic Club presents today the new New Balance kits for next season 2019-20. The design of the first jersey stands out for the thickness of the red-and-white stripes and for the originality of the collar and sleeves, which incorporate a black interior with a white finish. The central stripe is red and merges in the upper part of the garment with the shoulders, making the red color predominant in the overall. The dorsals and names are white. The uniform is completed with classic black trousers and half black half red socks. The second kit and the campaign slogan, Upon This Ground, are powerfully and creatively inspired by the philosophy of Athletic Club. Each detail has an explanation and responds to a narrative developed jointly by the Club and New Balance. As Kenny McCallum, General Manager of the American brand, says: “Athletic is a special club for its unique and independent way of competing, and we wanted the jerseys to reflect and celebrate that uniqueness.” This second two-tone forest green jersey stands out because of the projection of the rays of an ikurriña born from a golden shield, with red caps on the sleeves and on the round neck. References to the ikurriña are part of the origin of the entire campaign, summarised in the motto “Upon This Ground“, which refers to two intermixed meanings. The first, Uppon This Ground, refers to the Club’s direct connection with the Basque territory. From this link also comes the creation of a new flag that departs from the original design of the ikurriña to transform itself, through a change of the arrangement of colours, into a tribute to that historic connection between the Athletic and the land it represents. The small real ikurriña on the back of the jersey is now joined by this variation that specifically vindicates our philosophy. Raise the flag, Astindu flag, Ondea la bandera, definitively, make this flag that represents a unique way of competing known in the world. The second meaning, On This Basis, with these foundations, refers to the philosophy. Whatever the future holds for us, it will be on this basis of consensus that our philosophy represents. Undoubtedly, the ideal scenario, unbeatable, which symbolizes these allusions to territory, tradition, roots, unity and consensus, is Gernika, and specifically, the Tree of Gernika. That is why part of the campaign is situated there, where we intentionally brought together Iñaki Williams and Damaris Egurrola, the fusion between the historical past and the future that these two footballers represent, not only without renouncing to the essence of an identity, but also vindicating it. Finally, one of the echoes of the motto Upon This Ground reached as far as the legendary swearing of the Lehendakari Agirre, pronounced the 7th of October of 1936 under the old Gernika oak.
