last 创新 It’s the most interesting cartoon I’ve ever met in the latest 10-year real exam papers. Barely(仅仅,勉强[ˈberli]) knowing what to do, a man in the left is caged(关在笼中的[keɪdʒd]) in a bottle which is supposed to be seen as a tough(坚强的[tʌf]) status quo(现状). Meanwhile, his counterpart(相对物[ˈkaʊntərpɑ:rt]) in the right has already broken the bottle with a hammer, which can be viewed as a key of “innovation(创新[ˌɪnəˈveʃən])”. Indeed, two groups of people exist(存在[ɪɡˈzɪst]) in modern and complex(复杂的 [kəmˈpleks]) world. One is pursuing(追求[pərˈsu:]) further innovation in their daily routines(日常工作[ru:'ti:nz]), while another prefers to rest on their current achievement for enjoying their own life. The former(以前的) would argue that innovation is playing a key role in one’s daily life or career(事业). It is the major source of progress no matter it is for society or individual(个人的). Dating back to previous(过去的[ˈpriviəs]) centuries, human society was driven greatly by innovation. Watt invented steam engine and freed man’s hands from laborious(辛苦的[ləˈbɔriəs, -ˈbor-]) work; Edison brought brightness to human with his great invention of light bulbs(电灯泡[bʌlb]). While the latter view that life is an infinite(无限的[ˈɪnfənɪt]) process.(工艺流程) Thus, to enjoy the present is encouraged, especially after you have exposed(裸露的[ɪkˈspoʊzd]) to hard work for long. Actually, life consists(在于) of ups and downs so people need adjusting(调整) themselves through proper recharge. Personally, innovation is spurred in these days. People need different matters to guide and inspire them for further achievement. Only through it, much more brilliant future is goaled.
