The Return of D-12...And (Maybe) Eminem Well, it looks like the Motor City boys of D-12 are sick and tired of being treated like Eminem's background 'singers'. So, they've decided to record a mixtape, sans the group's most prominent member. Kuniva talked about the need to step his game up without riding Eminem's coattails, in a recent interview with the Detroit Free Press. "Now it’s to the point where we really have to step it up and also just show people who we are. And that’s what I’m doing on this mix tape here. I’m showing people who I am. What I go through." They'll also seize the opportunity to address some wild rumors on the mixtape. "I’m addressing a lot of issues. Like people saying that he’s [Eminem] fat. 'Marshall’s fat. Bizarre is this.' They’re taking our quietness for weakness. "The good news, though, is that we'll also hear from Marshall himself sometime this year or next, as he's busy putting finishing touches on his next solo album. But for now, we can all look forward to D-12's upcoming mixtape, Return of the Dozen, due out May 21.

★Eminem Publicist Responds to Memoir News One day after news surfaced about a forthcoming memoir named The Way I Am from rapper Eminem, the Oscar winner's publicist is setting the record straight on the book's current status. Although the book's publisher Orion Publishing Group mentioned Oct. 16 as the date for the work's publication, Eminem's publicist Dennis Dennehy disputes the company's claim."While there is a book in the works from Eminem in which he details certain aspects of his personal and professional life, the book is still in the process of being written and edited," said. "There is no firm release date scheduled, although it is anticipated to arrive in the latter part of this year."The memoir, titled The Way I Am, will feature unseen photographs of Eminem as well as hand-drawn art, sketches for lyrics and notes from journals.The rapper will also write the introduction for the book and provide a present-day narrative.Dennehy clarified Orion's position in regards to the project by stating that the UK publisher, "is not involved in the day-to-day editing or creation of the book."Although fans can expect the book this year, the publicist was disappointed that misinformation was released to the public."It's unfortunate that someone who does not have intimate knowledge of the book felt compelled to jump the gun on announcing it by delivering partial and inaccurate information," Dennehy said.

★DMX★Stars In New DVD W/Michael Madsen & David Carradine Rapper/actor DMX is set to star in the straight-to-DVD Action Thriller Last Hour, which hits stores on April 15. The movie follows five characters who are lured to an abandoned house in China, then learn they're in company with a psychotic killer and only have an hour to live. The film also stars Michael Madsen and David Carradine, who co-starred in the Quentin Tarantino crime drama Kill Bill.This latest effort is hardly the Darkman's first venture into film. X has previously starred in several major releases, including Belly, Romeo Must Die, Cradle 2 the Grave and Exit Wounds with Steven Seagal.Along with his movie roles, X is still making moves on the music front. ★NEWS★50 Cent将在下周一推出免费下载的混音带虽然G-Unit已经逐渐步入颓势，但至少50 Cent还是信心满满的，日前他透露将在下周一推出免费下载的G-Unit最新的混音带，这张混音带将被命名为《Return Of The Bodysnatchers》。这个消息是在著名的线上信息源头、博客Miss Info上泄露的，混音带将在网站Thisis50.com提供下载。另外这张专辑也会在市场上出现，预计时间在接下来的几周，同时发行的还有50 Cent的“5-Borough”巡演的DVD。今年G-Unit的主要计划中，除了50 Cent一直宣扬的要尝试R&B曲风的《Before I Self Distruct》，就是他们的团体专辑《Lock and Load》了，自2003年首张专辑《Beg For Mercy》获得不错反响之后，G-Unit的新唱片能否达到前作的水准现在看来是一个疑问。计划中50 Cent的个人专辑将先于G-Unit上市。
